Today would have been my back-to-work day post-vacation, but since I'm still sick, that didn't happen. I did need to change my out-of-office message and take care of a few minor things, so L dropped me off at work and I did what was needed before everyone arrived.
I got dressed in an actual outfit! It's not much - but I haven't worn "real" clothes in a week, so let's celebrate that, ha ha!
This new-to-me sweater has an uneven hemline, I discovered. It is very snuggly - I might wear it around the house today.

- Sweater - Religion, thrifted; purchased here for $11.95
- Sparkly turtleneck - Jacob, thrifted; last seen here earlier this month with mixed metals
- Jeans - Smashed Lemon; last worn here as part of the suit in July for the Philips' Backyard Weekender Part 2
- Shoes - Groovy Huysmans, Fluevog; last seen here in September on a Mom-Day Adventure at Dallas Road
I have a belt on to hold the jeans up, plus some bear-patterned socks. My hair is still wet(!) and I have no make-up or jewelry on, and I'm wearing my "house" glasses.
These shoes were only worn for an hour.

- Grommet belt (not shown) - gift from Ruth
I didn't even wear a coat - I walked out of the office and onto a bus straight home.
I thought you might appreciate Vizzini's newest sleeping spot.
As you can see, I haven't gotten to the actual decorating yet. Maybe tomorrow...or Friday...
"So I can still sleep here?"
Sending you all good vibes and gratitude. And now...back to bed.
Vizzini is the best gift anyone could wish to find under their tree! Doesn't he look cute all snuggled up like that.
ReplyDeleteI bet it feels so good to wear real clothes again and to leave home!
I was lucky, when I tested positive for Covid back in 2022, I didn't have any symptoms and didn't feel ill at all unlike Jon who was delirious and bed bound for 48 hours and weak and wobbly for a fortnight. Take care and don't overdo it! xxx
Snuggle up and take a cue from Vizzini…find a soft cozy spot and let yourself relax into the comfort. Of course, Vizzini is missing one ingredient…a nice hot mug of your preferred beverage! Glad you felt well enough to tackle a few items at work, now it’s time for rest!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to wear real clothes again? Dressing up, even if it's only to lie on the sofa, instantly makes me feel better. I do agree with Vix, take your time to get better and definitely don't overdo it. Says someone who usually doesn't follow her own advice :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon, it's such a drag. Sorry to hear it got you. Ugh, covid be gone!
ReplyDeleteCovid has a long hold on you. With me it was gone in 7 days and I didn't suffer from it for more than 3 days and they weren't too bad either. Wishing you a very quick recovery darling.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
Covid sucks. I hope you're on the mend now Sheila!
ReplyDeleteI love Vizzini!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling completly well and fully rested now.
Love the leopard print pants!
Glad to hear you are better. Loved the outfit. Vizzini finds all the best places...
