Double-Vince'd: Purple, Paisley and Pistachio

I am now on another 5-day weekend, woo hoo! The past two days have been a whirlwind of catching up from being off last week and prepping for another stretch this weekend. Much armour has been needed.
I laughed when I realized that this top and skirt match so well because...they're by the same brand!

  • Blouse - Vince Camuto, consignment; first worn here in December 2022 with pink Boss Lady Pants
  • Skirt - Vince Camuto, thrifted; first seen here in January with profesh patterns
  • Shoes - Fast Cars Mille Miglia, Fluevog; purchased here for $299.99 by my wonderful husband
  • Leather coat (below) - Jeno de Paris, vintage 1970s, thrifted; last seen here in February

They might even be from the same collection, who knows? I've never seen any Vince Camuto in the wild (aka retail).
I'm double-Vince'd and convinced (har) that I'll be wearing them together again.

I loved how the new green Fluevog shoes pulled the greens out of the paisley pattern of the skirt.
They are not as high as they look - there is a generous platform in the front of the shoe.

Ready for rain in my green vintage leather.
I mismatched all of my greens. What a rebel!

Incognito.
It didn't rain.

Accoutrements:
Green and purple are a fantastic combination.

  • Scarf - Bill Blass, vintage 80s, consignment; purchased here for $15.00
  • Gloves - vintage, consignment
  • Hat - thrifted

This was the perfect time to debut my vintage Bill Blass (so classy!) silk scarf. It was lovely, soft and warm without being heavy.

The stuff:
Perfectly patent pistachio! These are about a 2.5" heel after Shoe Math with front the platform.

Green bling:
I liked how the all the greens worked with the purple

  • Necklace - Plum, c. 2006
  • Earrings - consignment, Powell River
  • Snake bracelet - vintage mall, gift from L
  • Green stone bracelet - vintage 1930s, vintage mall
  • Feather ring - Fossil, thrifted
  • Jade/brass ring - vintage 70s, Mom's

My friends, I'll be posting here and there during the weekend, including ... the Closet Swap-Over! Stay tuned!

Please forgive me for not coming around/visiting or responding to comments. My batteries are low - it's time to recharge.

  1. Lucky you, even though I can fully imagine the whirlwind of catching up and prepping wasn't much fun. But I'm sure wearing this magnificent combo as armour was a great help to get you through it all. Purple and pistachio is a fabulous combo and what a rebel you are indeed mismatching your greens :-) Well, any shade of green meets my approval, the more, the merrier. Enjoy your 5-day weekend (I only have 4!) and good luck with your closet swap-over! Don't forget to relax either! xxx

  3. I like all the subtle greens in the jewelry. I spied them before getting to your Green Bling photo! I see a theme from this and yesterdays outfits!

Here’s to an enjoyable, productive and satisfying closet swap and very long weekend! Recharge yourself!

  6. "Five-Day Weekend" sounds like an oxymoron -- if its' 5 days, isn't it a week? :)
