I'm in one of my low moods, gritting my teeth and getting through the day. I have so much on the go, but I just don't want to do anything at all. What to do?
- Dress - Comrags, thrifted; last seen here in March with a ruffled blouse (my hair's so short!)
- Blouse - St. Michael, vintage 80s, thrifted; first worn here in June with mint green and a brooch
- Shoes - Esoteric Temptations Odette, Fluevog; last seen here in March with white pleather and a beetle
- Coat (below) - Stop Staring!, thrifted; purchased here for $16.95
I didn't really feel much like "me" until I put the coat on, but still, it's a good dress.
I think the blouse might have a little too much sleeve for my taste. My arms look incredibly short.
I love this dress - just wish it had pockets (I wish all my clothes had pockets!).
Outerwear: I felt like a Russian princess in my outerwear. Now that's how I like to feel!
- Headwrap - thrifted for $2.95, first wear
- Fur boa - thrifted
- Gloves - Parkhurst
- Obi - Benetton, thrifted
- Earrings - thrifted
- Lapis lazuli ring/Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
I have many things on the go, starting tomorrow night, and this is a long weekend coming up for us (Remembrance Day) in Canada. I'll be back on Monday with tales of adventure!
You look JUST like a Russian princess in that coat, headwrap, and fur neck wrap. Gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Cynthia!Delete
Oh my that coat, so beautiful! Have a nice weekend!ReplyDelete
I know, isn't it gorgeous? Thank you so much, Mujeril!Delete
Wow! That coat is fabulous! The shoes are great too! Have a great weekend, Sheila! XXXReplyDelete
Thank you, Sasha! I love the shoes - they are so fun!Delete
I'm glad that beautiful coat gave you a boost as I think this is a lovely outfit on you and it would have been a shame if you didn't enjoy wearing it at all.ReplyDelete
Hope you have a fun although busy rest of your week :)
Thanks, Mica. I like the outfit, I just don't LOVE it, not like the previous day's, anyway. I think I will turf the blouse...maybe one more wear. Thank you! It's going to be a busy weekend!Delete
Oh, that coat! I'm swooning in a big way. I knew it was going to be good, but it's looking even more fabulous on you. I love how you cinched in the dress with the obi. I have a blouse I'm loving the print of, but which I'm never wearing because of the sleeves. Have a wonderful weekend full of adventures, and good luck at the flea market! xxxReplyDelete
It's even better in person - very swooshy! Thank you - I love obis, but I'm kind of "off" them lately. I like big sleeves, but these just stumpify my arms. Thank you! I'm looking forward to all the good stuff this weekend.Delete
I love the dress as pinafore and the coat is magnificent! It looks very 1940s...ReplyDelete
Thank you, Veronica! Yes, the style is totally 40s!Delete
More than probably anything else, you've taught me the importance of belts in women's fashion. This one works perfectly with the outfit.ReplyDelete
Aw, thank you, Ally!Delete
Yes, I so agree, swooshing is a great mood lifter!ReplyDelete
Love the combination of blue and black and all of these beautiful textures.
Love the coat with the fury collar, so cozy and rich.
Lots of sunshine and double swooshing for you, pretty lady.
I hope that makes you feel better. If not, listen to your moods and see if it is alerting you to something that you should address. Please forgive my lay person analysis. Lots of doctors in th family....
Much love ❤️
Swoosh is so important to me, in my full skirts. Thank you, sweet Elle! I do listen to my moods, and am used to my ups and downs, thank you, hon.Delete
Hello darling, I hope you're feeling a big brighter now. I've been laid low with this cold that wasn't quite flu, but certainly more than a head cold. Anyway, the dress and blouse combo works so well, but yes, the coat certainly added the wow factor.ReplyDelete
So lovely to get back to see you again. Am off for more...
Getting there - I needed the long weekend and company of friends and loved ones. The coat helped!Delete
Obi belt and lace tights----sexy!!!!! Cute coat!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Becky!Delete
The word magnificent falls short for this marvellous, glorious jacket ! You could wear it over piyamas and its still a a winner.ReplyDelete
Ha! I think you're right, Lorena!Delete
