The Debut of the Disco Pants

Ah, Thursday is over, Friday is nearly here! I'm feeling good!
I forgot about the cardi label - I cut it off at work
And how could I not be? These are possibly the most awesome disco pants ever!

  • Cardigan - Jacob, thrifted; last seen here in March with this same blouse
  • Blouse - Le Chateau, thrifted; last worn here in July with an overall equestrian vibe
  • Trousers - Peter Nygard, vintage 70s, thrifted; purchased here last weekend for $7.50
  • Shoes - Queen of Prussia, Louise, Fluevog; last worn here in August while being Gaga-esque

Super shiny, and look at the drape. I drool. I also cut the pockets open this morning.

Not so much with the butt shot - really, they don't ride up my butt that much! It's just the style!
The cardigan: been there, worn it. Same with the blouse. The pants were the star (or the schtar, if I'm chatting with Melanie) of the outfit. I showed them off to everyone at work, and they were just a dream to wear. You can feel the quality in them. It would cost me $200+ to find pants this nice new nowadays.

The stuff:
The shoes were enthusiastically received at work and at WW. They're wonderfully comfortable. Many of my coworkers look dubious when I say that, but they're so well-made and so well-balanced that I don't have any pain from wearing them for about 9 hours today.

Shiny gold disco bling!
Um, and it's blurry.

  • Belt - thrifted
  • Earrings - thrifted
  • Chain cuff - thrifted
  • Bangle - "Gucci", gift from Mom & Dad from Italy in 1986?

I am totally grooving on the 70s looks lately. Bring on the shiny gold!

Vizzini is stubbornly refusing to believe that it's getting colder in the mornings:
"Ground level is for chumps. Cool cats sit on the third level in October."
Buddy, your post is coming indoors soon, and we're going to have to close the deck within a few week. I'll need to hide everything he can destroy once that happens. He's not going to be pleased.

  1. Yes, you are a schtar!
Those pants are great. They must make a slight swish sound too? Or are they too silky smooth? It's easy to get spoiled by very high quality. It's a hazard of finding good deals - the good stuff makes the meh so much more meh.

  4. Loving the disco pants outfit, beautifully styled. At first glance I thought this looks like a GUCCI magazine ad, and then I read that you're wearing a Gucci cuff.

  5. Love these trousers - so swooshy and they do look very pricey/well made. Good score. Our cats take turns on hte "condo level", although King is nearly always on the top floor, naturally.

  6. This outfit just made me smile and get all giddy inside. Don't you LOVE fall clothing...the rich colors and fabrics? What a perfect outfit for transitioning from the office to meeting friends after work for a cocktail! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
