Ah, Monday. Today was actually not too bad - I had a couple of "must do" items.
Shockingly, I got them done! Hurrah!- Cardigan - Jacob, thrifted; purchased here yesterday for $9.95
- Sweater - August Silk, consignment; last seen here in April under pink suede
- Skirt - Current, thrifted; last worn here in May with more black
- Shoes - Liz Claiborne, vintage store; last seen here in June with black leather
I loved this soft cardi - happy with my purchase! It's nice to wear sweaters - even thin ones - again, without sweating like crazy. It's still warm and sunny during the day, but much cooler in the mornings. I actually wore my red leather coat today!
Probably the last wearing of this mod skirt for the season - it's unlined (I'm wearing a half-slip under it today). I might keep it out, just because mod is so trendy right now, but it's a pain to have to deal with straight cotton when you have tights, boots and slips going on. I hate when clothes become high-maintenance.
The stuff:
The shoes will definitely be packed away in a couple of weeks. This is my second summer with them, and although I don't wear them a ton, I love the vintage look of them (they're modern, despite the fact that I bought them in an antique store - it's an odd store).
Shiny silver bling:
Cold weather season = tons of rings for me.
- Cuff/earrings - Fossil, gifts from L
- Circle ring - Nine West
- Red coral ring - gift from Cindy
- Pinky ring - Bauxo
I was writing yesterday's big weekend wrap-up post, when Vizzini decided to jump up on my lap. He doesn't do this very much, but it was close to his dinner-time.
"Here's the deal. Lovey eyes from me, food from you." |
"I will love you even more if you feed me." |
Love that mod skirt - I may have had similar in my youth. And what a face - that face! I want to smooch him. xo
ReplyDeleteLove the mod print on the skirt! I even love the word Mod - it definitely deserves a comeback. And your shoes are an excellent complement to the skirt.
ReplyDeleteVizzini's eyebrows are intriguing. Does he pluck? Is it a fashion statement? Mmmmm, maybe I'll do just one eyebrow.
I know what you mean on the skirt, but i think its totally worth the hassle - it would create a marvellous fall look.
ReplyDeleteThose whiskers! Hi pretty kitty. And a gorgeous Sheila
ReplyDeleteVery, very lovely! You're sporting what I call my winter uniform palette - red, black and grey (sometimes with white). I literally have to remind myself to wear other hues during the coldest months of the year. It just feels natural to me for winter.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
♥ Jessica
Poor Vizzini - down to only two eyebrows, and on one side too! My eyebrows are disappearing at an alarming rate so he has my sympathy.
ReplyDeleteI adore the pattern on that skirt - I would love to have a coat with that pattern.
