In a Grey Mood

By the end of the day today, I was cranky.
I started out all right - I wonder if the clothes we wear influence our moods negatively, even if we like the outfit and feel good in it?

  • Blouse - CABi, consignment; last worn here after a cat-astrophe in December 2014
  • Dress - Danier Leather, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in November 2013 for the day of the Unlimited Woman Awards (which I did not win, boo)
  • Shoes - Libby Edemann, consignment; last worn here in November 2014 while tie-ing one on for Movember

I felt good in this outfit, but my mood became progressively greyer as the day went on. I'm not sure if I am ready to give this dress up, but I only wear it maybe once a year.
I mean, when do you see a grey suede leather dress?

The stuff:
These are way too high for me. I am pretty sure I'm going to jettison them from the wardrobe when I do my seasonal switch, but for now, they are in the closet. I love the style...just 3 inches lower, please!

Belt bling:
My thing has been studs in my ears lately, which I'm not even photographing.

  • Belt/buckle - Shi Studios (buckle was thrifted)


I'm filling in on Thursday nights at WW for a while, for one of the other leaders who is sick, and I have Book Club tomorrow night (which means...wine!), so although I won't be back until the end of the weekend, Shoe Shine will be there on Friday!

    I love the outfit,but then I love grey!!! I do think our outfits affect our mood, absolutely. But usually if we like an ensemble, even if it is grey, we stay happy. I wonder if it was the shoes? Sometimes when I wear heels higher than I find to be truly comfortable they drag my energy down, slowly, through the day. . .

    When/if you are ready to get rid of that dress, let me know! ;-)

    The dress is a really lovely fit, but I do struggle to feel excited about grey... Maybe with a more vibrant blouse underneath you/I would feel differently? It's still a very chic outfit! xxx
