Turquoise-a-riffic!

One of my favourite colour combinations makes an appearance:
I love the vibrant turquoise with the orange-y red, and the touches of black and brown (in the blouse's pattern). I am always cold in air-conditioned places, so the jacket was on all day:
I have also decided that this thick cotton velvet pencil skirt is one of my favourites. It's so soft.

Stuff:
My toe (broken a couple of weeks ago) is still bothering me, so I'm sticking to low heels for another week. Of course, stuffing my feet into cleats for a 2+ hour game of Ultimate was probably not the smartest idea, but hey, life is for living!

Jacket (Gap, consignment), blouse (Mexx), skirt (Armour Jeans), shoes (Kenneth Cole Reaction, gift from Cat), bracelet (Plum), necklace (Plum), gold hoop earrings (gift from L).

  1. I love the way the jacket pulls it all together.

  2. That truly is a dynamite color combo, especially with YOUR coloring. And hon, so sorry to hear about the wounded toe! Do take care of that and avoid the sky-high heels for a while ...

  3. oy! you broke your toe? i did that once. on thanksgiving, in the 8th grade. it never grew back right. i should do an entry about my deformed toe. really i should.

i love turquoise and orange together too! i've been trying to come up with an outfit with those 2 colors for a few weeks now, but what I possess in my own closet hasn't been as conducive to such an arrangement as I would like! you look fab!

  4. You know I am with you! Love the print in this blouse, and of course the turq jacket, awesome!

I never have air conditioning where I live, but working in a big converted warehouse, It's cold most of the year, hence my layers.

  6. I'm sorry to hear about your toe.

We played a lot of frisbee this weekeend, which made me think of you. We're getting better, but we are still pretty inconsistent. It's fun, though.

  7. Thanks, Jane - I do too.

Sal, thank you. I think it is a rocking mix of colours. Eh, I've broken toes before - it's the curse of the klutz.

Eednic, the key is to tape your broken toe to the neighbouring toes so that it heals straight.

Erin, thank you so much. I hate being cold...I long for summer.

Alison, thanks! I aggravated the toe at aikido on Friday so I am babying it.

Thanks, Tina! Awesome! Don't you just love throwing the disc around? We had a 2+ hour game on Saturday - it was great!

  8. That blouse is the perfect piece to mix all of those colors without looking too matchy. Love it!
