Today's outfit:
I can still feel the sun on my face. Ah....
Londyn, you probably recognize this blouse - we have the same one. It's such a light silk, I can only wear it when it's really warm out.
Unfortunately, the A/C in my office was on full blast all afternoon, so I wore my jacket:
The stuff:
Today's Special Guest Shoe is brought to us by Princess Nicole, whom Ruth and I work with. We all bond over shoes, and you can bet there were plenty of "oooh"s when she came home from holidays last year with these babies:
Oooooh....aaaahhhh! Blackberries are lousy cameras, sorry. Here's what Princess Nicole has to say about these: "I bought these shoes in downtown Dublin at my favorite European shoe store: Schuh. I fell in love immediately with the gold brocade effect, the family of swans and most importantly, the "glass heel"- so reminiscent of Cinderella! I can't help but feel decadent when I wear these shoes…"
Of course, they are Irregular Choice (again). Why do I not have a pair of them??

Detail of the swan family and the "glass heel":
Great lighting on the first two! Loooove those IC shoes as well.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your pairs of shoes in this post. Have enjoyed visiting your blog these last few days. I really like your aesthetic. So, no new clothes for all of 2009? Good for you! That's a big deal. I just took a Wardrobe Refashion pledge along with a pledge not even to buy second hand clothes--but mine's only for two months. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteThe print on that blouse is delicious! Can a print be delicious? I assume it can because that is the only adjective I can think of to describe it.
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is divine!
ReplyDeleteHi there - I found your blog through a comment you left on AlreadyPretty...I love your outfit today - so cute! And I am sure I'm going to love your entire blog. I just wanted to chime in say how awesome it is that you lost 60 pounds two years ago. I need to do the exact same thing - to be the size I used to be. Did you join a group? hire a trainer? Or 'just' eat sensibly and exercise all the time?
ReplyDeleteI love those shoes! They remind me of the Disney movie Fantasia (is that the name of it?!). They are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd that blouse looks amazing on you. So light and colorful.
I really love this look on you! And the guest shoe is Gorgeous!! I definitely want a pair of princess shoes in my life stat!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this outfit, and that skirt...wow, mama!~ It looks super on you!
ReplyDeleteHi, and welcome, Jez. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSallymandy, hello and welcome! Only one of the pairs of shoes is actually mine. Glad you like the blog. Yup, no new clothes - check out the link under my profile on the right to read the full explanation. Good luck to you on your challenge!
Sal, I love it too. It's like balloons, or jelly beans. Definitely delicious.
Thanks, Tina!
Hi, Christy! Welcome and thanks for visiting! I actually joined Weight Watchers, bought a treadmill, and set myself a goal (to do the marathon before I turned 40). I still go to WW meetings, even though I've maintained for close to 2 years. Here's an entry I did about my weight loss: http://sheilaephemera.blogspot.com/2009/01/request-3-my-shenanigans-how-did-i-lose.html (copy and paste the link into your browser).
They're amazing, aren't they, Kaylyn? Thanks very much.
Diane, thank you so much. Yes, they suit Nicole very much.
WWWYG, thanks and welcome!
Looks like that bug on the floor went met the bottom of your sandals CRUNCH LOL
ReplyDeleteA. That's not a bug, that's a piece of fluff from the area rug I kick out of the way to take my pictures.
ReplyDeleteB. Anon, are you drunk? LOL
