
I did some more highlighting on the beach: added some dark & bright to make it look more sun-kissed with light, and did more highlighting on the trees, as well as adding in some wispy bits in the foreground grasses/bushes. There's a bit of flash burn at the top of the picture; that's what that sort of white fuzz is.
Now I just have to frame it.
I've started another picture, one of the view outside our deck. L's idea: to have a picture of our "old" place, since we're thinking of moving in the next few/several months/year. It's an amalgam of all the trees we see when we look outside. So far, I just have some colour blocked in. The style is totally not like the picture above, which is more like an oil painting (I did lots of oil painting when I was a kid - thanks for all the classes at our house, mom!).
