Perfectly Pink, Plaid and Pastel

What a horrendously busy day I had, getting ready to be off for 3 days! And I still have to do my WW meetings tonight and Thursday night, so it's not all sunshine and roses...yet.
Oh, I think maybe once I said I'd never wear baby blue...or pastels..or pink...

  • Jacket - Tommy Hilfiger, consignment; last seen here over a year ago in April 2014
  • Dress - Jacob, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in March for a brief brunch
  • Shoes - Land's End; last seen here in April while being conservative

And here we go: all three of those!

Although I only wear this jacket once a year (I know, shocking!), I am crushing on it anew due to my recent pink fondness. I keep almost putting it in the giveaway pile, but then I pull it out. When am I ever going to find a pink plaid jacket like this again?
The dress is way too short for bending over, I discovered today. It is a standing dress. Not sure if I'll keep it either, but it's not too bad. We'll see how I feel after the summer.

The stuff:
The week's theme of comfy flats meanders on.

Blue and silver bling:
The last time I wore these earrings, my ear got infected. Bad earrings! They better behave this time.

  • Belt - Lady Footlocker, thrifted
  • Cuff - thrifted
  • Earrings - Caracol

I'll be posting sporadically over the week and weekend, as I enjoy my time off. It's a stay-cation, but includes L's birthday tomorrow, the Day of Indolence, and a Major shopping trip with my buddy Yvonne. I have been shopping less this past month, and feel a wee splurge coming on...but will the Shopping Gods smile upon me? Stay tuned!

  2. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to see what you get on your shopping trip! :)

I really like that pink blazer too, you're right it isn't a common sight it would be hard to find another one like it if you donated it. Definitely keep it, even if only for a little longer! :)

  3. Don't get rid of the dress! Wear it as a tunic over light grey tights or skinny jeans! (I don't do pastels either...even though I've been told pink suits me.)

  4. Very sweet look - I think its funny how we say we are not into certain colours and then suddenly we have this attraction to them.
I think you will want this blazer and will miss it if you let it go.
On the dress, maybe you can wear it for the summer and then just let go.
Just this morning I got rid of two dresses for that same reason… too short: no free shows here.

  5. Your hair is really making me SWOON. I don't usually do pastels, but with your hair color, it keeps it funky. It's one thing about having tattoos or 'different' hair. It twists classic things into coolness.

  6. Yeah, I'm not really a pastels kinda gal, they're too pale and soft for me, but they look pretty on others, and very good on you! And never say never...
Enjoy your time off, Sheila! xxx
