I'd almost forgotten about this lovely sweater. It's only been worn a few times, tsk, what a shame. It's like I have a lot of clothes or something.
- Sweater - Scotch & Soda by Maison Scotch, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in March 2024 with a leather mini and caramel boots
- Skirt - GP & J Baker X H&M, consignment; last seen here in November 2024 with mixed metals
- Suede boots - Coach, consignment, Vancouver; last worn here (5th outfit) in December 2024 to see "Sweeny Todd" with Rosanna
- Baby alpaca/wool coat (below) - Mallia, consignment; last seen here a couple of weeks ago
I paired it with this stretchy honeycomb-patterned knit skirt (not a print!).
This was a comfy but classy outfit - not a lot of people were in the office, but I had a lot of emails to deal with.I love the vine and flowers in the knit (it's also not printed!), and liked how the pattern mixed with the honeycomb shapes of the skirt.
The sweater has bands of caramel brown at the neck, cuffs and hem, so it also worked with the brown in the skirt.

Outerwear - I only look happy because I adore this ginormous fuzzy hat. I'm actually barely awake.
It fills me with glee - this hat makes me feel silly!
Accoutrements:
Brrr...it was chilly today - it didn't go over 4 degrees all day. I needed all this fur! - Hat - Flag Accessories, vintage market
- Fur scarf - thrifted
- Leather/fur gloves - thrifted
The stuff:
Gawds, I love these boots so much - they're just the perfect cowboy-rockstar look. Amber bling:
I wore the ant on my coat, and the spider brooch was hiding in the vines on my sweater

I liked how my amber set worked with this outfit. My colleagues were fascinated by the layered necklaces.
Brilliant pattern mixing, Sheila! Your amber set is fabulous too (I'm spying my favourite the ant brooch again) and I think I need a ginormous fuzzy hat in my life! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann! Yes, I think of you now when I wear that ("oh, Ann will like this"). Ginormous fuzzy hats are where it's at!
DeleteI love this hat! Don't know if you've seen the show "Hacks" but the hat looks like something Jean Smart's character would wear.
ReplyDeleteI know of it, but haven't seen it. I love Jean Smart! Thanks, Ally!
DeleteIntarsia knits are the best! Love this outfit.
ReplyDeleteYes, and you even know the fancy word, Julia, nicely done!
DeleteLove this outfit, Sheila! Who says you have a lot of clothes? Love the boots and the very elegant baby wool Alpaca coat. The hat is fab - you look very Russian in it! We are having similar temperatures and it is cheek stingingly cold when I walk the dog...

Ha ha, I say I have a lot of clothes, Vronni! I am okay with the cold right now, as it's clear and sunny most days. It's when the gloom, rain and snow move in that I reach for my mink...
DeleteYou know I love those hats, mine's almost welded to my head at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteLooking very slinky in your alpaca coat and loving the amber jewellery. xxx
I love them too - I have four now that are similarly shaped and puff-tastic like this.
DeleteThank you, Vix!
Love love love the amber bling! Ah for the warmth of your hat and coat, boots and sweater. It’s very cold here, as well, so that means lots of layers. I am beginning to appreciate how young children must feel when they are cocooned in snowsuits like mummies!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
I do love my amber - I don't see a lot out there that I like, but I'm happy with my small collection so far.
DeleteI'm layering with lots of base pieces (camisoles, long-sleeved shirts, slips and fleece-lined tights). :)
Ah yes, much to be said for light weight warmth with the camisoles and slips.
DeleteWonderful pattern mixing, Sheila!
ReplyDeleteYou look great!
Thanks, Ivana!
