Business On Top; Mini On the Bottom

I had a video call with a client about some fussy accounting things, and wanted to make a good impression. So I'm Boss Lady on the top.
And Klassy Lady on the bottom, heh heh.

  • Blazer - Helmut Lang, thrifted; last worn here in October 2021 with floral and olive
  • Blouse - The Korner; last seen here in December 2021 under a sequined dress
  • Skirt - Mexx, consignment; last worn here in November for a Mental Health Shop
  • Boots - BCBG Max Azria; last seen here in November for a Mom-Day Adventure
  • Coat (below) - Halston, vintage 70s, consignment, Sidney; last worn here in November

My colleague Fiona snorted when I told her that.
"Sheila, you have a tiger on your shoulder." And leopard earrings, and a leopard blouse with a bow at the neck.

But I'm wearing a neutral Classy Designer blazer! That's totally business profesh!
The person I chatted with (our minor issue sorted out easily) couldn't tell I had a mini-skirt on the bottom. I'm such a rebel.

Masked up.
Can you see the wide stripes on my sweater-tights? They are olive and black.

Outerwear - snuggly warm.
They are predicting snow starting on Sunday. I might have to bust out the mink!

Accoutrements:
These gloves are the warmest I own, but I can't do anything dexterous with them.

  • Scarf - thrifted
  • Gloves - vintage, thrifted
  • Mask - by Mom

The stuff:
Very tall boots. I like them with miniskirts.

Sparkly cat bling:
I love those sparkly leopards - they have very snug clips.

  • Tiger brooch - consignment, gift from L
  • Earrings - consignment
  • Feather ring - Fossil, thrifted
  • Brutalist ring - vintage 70s, vintage mall

My wee tiger works really well on this blazer.
Isn't he cool?

When I arrived at work, I found a present on my desk.
Wow, that's so pretty! Is it for me?

It is! It's a chocolate "S".
Lovely card and presentation - from my colleague Carol-Anne. Aw, thank you.

  1. Your Boss Lady outfit reminds me of what they used to say about mullets, business in front, party at the back. Love the splash of red, links up with the blouse perfectly.
Our cold spell is set to leave on Sunday so it must be heading your way. It's -8°C at the moment, I must be mad going swimming! xxx

  2. Oh how thoughtful is that chocolate letter! You make me want to shop for a skirt skirt now.

  3. We've got snow that was supposed to start at midnight through today but I haven't looked outside yet! Then the cold comes. I need to look professional too on camera, interviews for my vacant position. I need the best candidate to want the job. I will not have a mini skirt on, but leggings likely.

  4. That Classy, with a capital C, blazer does pull this outfit together, and makes it look very profesh/Boss Lady indeed. Loving the leopard blouse and swooning over the leopard bling! Plus, tall boots and mini skirt makes this a winner.
Aren't you lucky getting that chocolate letter. Do I spy the word "Belgian" on the packing? If yes, you're even luckier, as we make the best chocolate, no competition :-) xxx

  5. That tiger brooch is so good. Very impactful.
Love your coat and boots too. Stylish and warm. How often does it happen that style and comfort go hand in hand?
The chocolate letter is something everybody in the Netherlands gets around the 5th of December (Saint Nicolas).
