Neon Pirate

Ah, it's the weekend! I'm so very, very glad.

First, I do apologize to those of you who were receiving my posts by email. Please see the note in the right sidebar - I have submitted a Help Me! request to the forums here for the email issue, and hopefully, it will be solved soon!

Anyway, I'm really really tired of reading help info on this, and trying various things to try to make it work, and am getting very frustrated, so let's look at some clothes. I dressed like a neon pirate today.

Another full day of nearly 100% physical activity at the office - I have one more floor to plaster with signs and sanitizing stations (I've done two floors now), and people are coming in on Monday, so they're just going to have to bear with me until I can finish it. I dressed for comfort.

  • Vest - Religion, consignment; first worn here for our last visit with Karen in June
  • Silk top - Kate Spade, thrifted; last seen here in July 2019 with some familiar items
  • Trousers - Eleonora Amadei; first worn here in June with orange bookends
  • Shoes - Mellow Bossa Nova, Fluevog; last seen here (2nd outfit) with a ginormous floral skirt

Comfy pants that I wouldn't get upset about if they got dirty (they did).
I paired them with this lovely neon yellow silk top and actually managed not to get it dirty or sweat in it! It's a miracle.
The vest helped keep my arms free and my 'pits cool (because I did a lot of sweating!). It also was excellent for filling the pockets with pens, scissors, tape and odds and ends of things.
I will be glad when all this initial set-up of the office is done! Now I'll just have to deal with the people. Everyone, behave!
Wear your masks! Please.

The stuff:
Neon orange shoes for the win!

Bold bling:
I stuffed the squishy silicon bangle in a pocket at one point too.

  • Bangle - Materia Design, thrifted
  • Silver earrings - Brenda Schoenfeld, 1992, vintage mall
  • Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
  • Silver/onyx ring - Tocarra, vintage fair

This guy has the right idea. I think I might go hide under the covers.
"I am full of good ideas. Like napping."

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful weekend! I'll be back on Sunday with tales of adventure!

  1. I love how you striped pants have a streak of green neon in them to match the silk green neon top. Very matchy. The orange shoes are fabulous and I do like the vest.

  4. Sounds quite exhausting! Glad you were dressed for the occasion by wearing those striped trousers, which look the epitome of comfort. The silk neon Kate Spade top looks amazing with them, and so do those amazing neon orange shoes. It must be exciting - but a bit strange and scary too - that people are coming back to the office. I'm sure they've missed you and your outfits! Hope you're having a relaxing weekend, Sheila! xxx

    1. It is so much physical work! Thanks, Ann - this was a lovely comfy outfit. It's weird for sure, but fortunately not a lot of the folks I was expecting showed up!

Hope you had a good one too, my dear.

What a big job! You must be happy you are 2/3 finished! I hope they give you a few days off when you're done so you can put your feet up and relax - you've sure earned a break :)

    1. Yarr, Nana, thank you! ;-P

It's such a huge job! It feels good to do physical work, but it's still a lot. No days off - I'm already working just 3 days a week.

    1. Wow, it must be the new Blogger that's causing it! I'm still getting feeds from folks who haven't switched over to the new interface, but worry that I will miss them once they switch.

Thanks so much, Vix! Much R&R was had. :)
