I was so tired last night, I could barely put an outfit together. I thought I'd better go with something simple.
Monochrome purple! Easy-peasy, ready for a Monday.- Dress - Michael Kors, consignment; purchased here yesterday for $22.98
- Shoes - Entrance Room 502, Fluevog; last worn here in November 2019 with a cape and leopard
- Coat (below) - Sfizio, consignment; last seen here in January
This dress was a dream to wear.
It's baggy where I want it (around my middle).
Snug in the hips, but not too snug.
Scrunchable arms, without bagging out.
It was soft and snuggly, without being too warm. Perfect...although pockets would be even better, but you rarely see them on sweater dresses.
Outerwear - it was cloudy most of the day, but is showing signs of clearing. I still need gloves, but a scarf less so.
I had to wear the purple beret! It matches so well. Sometimes you just want to visit Matchy-Town, and sometimes you're the Mayor. Please, no need to bow. (heh)
The stuff:
Such awesome shoes. I almost always wear them with the purple tights!
Silvery bling:
I like a big statement necklace.
- Necklace - Dots
- Silver/gold cuff - JPL, vintage fair
- Hematite ring - thrifted
- Crystal/silver ring - Soul Flower
- Earrings - thrifted
Vizzini rolled around at my feet when I got home.
"Feeeed meeeee..." |
He has become a very social cat and misses us, especially on Mondays when he's had us home for much of the weekend.
Vizzini!!!! I just rocked a purple jacket and hat outfit lolol twinning!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are twins! I know, isn't Vizzini so cute?
DeleteThe new dress is simply gorgeous - you definitely own "Matchy Town"!
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that Vizzini looks vertical in the picture (either an optical illusion or I'm just tired); he could be the new poster kitty for "Hang in There"!
Lol, thanks, Nana! Ha, yes, he does look like that, but he really is just rolling around on the carpet at my feet.
DeleteShiela, I love your purple look especially with your coat and beret. You belong in a movie being a fabulous film star! X
ReplyDeleteAw, I love that, thanks, Jess!
DeleteI love all the purple in your outfit and your dress is so cosy! I wish more dresses had pockets my navy swing dress you asked about doesn't have any pockets either :(
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderfully cosy dress, Mica, thank you! Boo for lack of pockets!
DeleteThis is exactly the shape sweater dress I want! Lise
ReplyDeleteIt's an awesome cut - keep looking, Lise!
DeleteNothing wrong with being matchy-matchy now and again. Now that looks like the ultimate jammy dress to me - shame about the lack of pockets, though. That awesome statement necklace is just perfect with it, giving it a certain 60s vibe. Those shoes are divine too. They would look great with mustardy yellow tights as well, I think. Not on a matchy-matchy day, though :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteExactly, Ann! Sometimes we have to bring it! Ah, I'm not that upset about no pockets - you really don't see them on sweater dresses. Ooh, I like that idea for the shoes - that could be fun!
DeleteThis is a gorgeous purple styling. I really like that dress on you and the purple boots are very chic too. They look comfy too. The coat is so beautiful! I love how tailored it is. The purple beret is a great way to finish this look. You look stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ivana! I love that coat, but it only goes with certain things.
DeleteAhh seeing those purple fluevogs always launches me on a world wide search for a pair of 9s. And seeing your outfits always inspires me- thank you for your continued contribution to a record of classy dressing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much - check out the Fluemarket (it's on their website), as it's the best place to find a pair of discontinued shoes (which these are). Aw, that is the nicest compliment, thank you!
DeleteLooks very comfy. Being new to women's clothing, it took me a while and some experience before I realized what makes some dresses comfortable and others not.
ReplyDeleteGenerally, a soft fabric, loose (but not too loose). Anything too heavily structured isn't comfortable.
DeleteLove monochrome! Great dress!
ReplyDeleteMe too, thanks, Nancy!
DeleteVizzini looks about 6 foot long - I'd love to grapple with him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a regal looking outfit, I'm loving that deep purple dress, it shows off your fab necklace a treat. Swooning over the shoes, as ever! xxx
He loves having his tum ruffled - I gave him a good brushing after this. He would enjoy a grapple.
DeleteThank you so much, Vix!
Nothing cuter than stretchy cat-toes! This dress is beautifully flattering on you, and the necklace is the perfect accessory. You rule Matchy Town!
ReplyDeleteI know, isn't he the sweetest! Those toes! Aw, thank you so much!
DeleteAww! Vizzini is so adorable! His outstretched paws made me beam. What an absolute sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking the purple here magnificently! Purple and I have an interesting relationship. I love it in principle and own a few (mostly darker) purple pieces, but I don't wear them all that often (for absolutely no particular reason). Strange, really, given that it's my mom's favourite colour by a wide mile and I've often bought her items in this sumptuous colour over the years. Perhaps this spring I'll give purple more of a go - it is certainly an apt season to do so! :)
♥ Autumn
He's a lovely boy!
DeleteThank you! I love purple - it's a great colour all year round. Go for it, Autumn!
Oh I like this, specially the outer wear - so very cool She.
ReplyDeleteThanks, hon!
