I made it! It's the long weekend! A very happy Canada Day to my fellow Canucks, and a happy early 4th of July to my American friends!
The office was dead today, so I defrosted the mini-fridge at work...but I broke it right at the end of the day. That hissing sounded ominous. I think I'll be ordering a new fridge on Monday. But I'm not going to think about that now.- Top - H&M, consignment; purchased here last weekend for $19.99
- Skirt - Mister Leonard, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here in August 2015 for a long weekend Friday
- Shoes - Effortless Vivian, Fluevog; last seen here in April with a collar-and-cuffs dress
Ha, the last time I wore this skirt, I also defrosted the same fridge! That's too bizarre.
This is my first wearing of this top and I really loved it. I think a shorter skirt might work better, proportionally, but this colour is so lovely and goes perfectly with the bits of yellow in the pattern (the cranes have yellow on their heads).
The stuff:
I adore these shoes - they were just fine barefoot. No rubbing, although the patent leather is stiff (and they're on sale now! Wanna be shoe twins?).
Baby blue bling:
I have come full circle from hating pastels to fully embracing them. Funny how that works.
- Bracelet - Coro, vintage fair
- Earrings - Plum
- Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
I'm off tomorrow celebrating Canada Day with friends, then we have Ulti on Saturday, followed by a barbecue and games at another friends' place. Sunday...phew, I'm gonna need to recover. See you then! Have a wonderful weekend!
Hope you enjoy your holidays! :) I really do like the colour combination of the skirt and top together.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that the fridge is fine when you go back :)
Love, LOVE that top! And the fridge skirt too. A new trend, eh? xox

Happy Canada Day! 149 years sounds old but, if your country was a dog, it'd only be 21 and allowed to drink. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day, Sheila!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit, it looks very stylish. The shoes seem to match the top really well as well as the skirt.
Have a lovely weekend.

Enjoy your holiday She ! You are rocking your new H&M top :)
ReplyDeletePlease don't wear your fridge skirt when you clean your own fridge at home - you don't want to chance fate. The crane top looks lovely and don't those shoes match beautifully. Of course I'd love to be shoe twins, but know that even at sale price I can't afford them. I plan to start selling some clothes on eBay, (to release some funds) but heck it takes time to organise, time I'd rather spend mooching around other blogs. Have a great weekend!

Grey + mustard yellow are so, so stellar together. Love this chic look and, natch, your wonderful mid-century thermoset bracelet.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs & joyful Canada Day long weekend wishes,
♥ Jessica
A very good outfit. Again. Love the shoes as much as you do and I would have been hour shoe twin if I could. But the last (and first) time I ordered Fluevog shoes through Amazon they were too small and too high. Cost me quite a lot in shipping back and forth.
