Patterned smock top (Costa Blanca, consignment), black swing jacket (Simply Manakin, Winners), black skinny jeans (Jacob), black rocker chick belt (not visible, from Ruth!), Vans slip-ons (some boardshop in Kitsilano), handmade chainmail necklace (online charity auction, locally made).
A simple casual outfit for work on a sunny but still cold Friday. One of my favourite tops, with the classic skinny jean, a funky jacket and Vans. Oh, and the chainmail necklace, which I love.
A close-up of the Vans:
We're headed over to Caro's for a party tonight. She said casual dress, so I'm wearing a vintage lace dress. No one tells me to do casual for a party! Ha!

Love the outfit. Do you have any idea whether Simply Manakin is still in production. Just bought one of their jackets at a vintage store and although it is in perfect condition I suspect it may be fairly old.
ReplyDeleteIt was in production as of last Fall, since that's when I bought this new at Winners (a store that sells tons of discounted but new clothing/shoes/accessories/household items). I did a search on it and got a bunch of Ebay listings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information Sheila. The jacket I bought seems to be very well made, and it looks great. I am going to enjoy wearing it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Vans!
