Pink Jammy Dress Kind of Day

I laughed when I saw colleague Flavia today - we were wearing the same outfit, only her dress was a warm camel colour.
"It's a Jammy Dress kind of day," I said. She agreed.

  • Turtleneck - Jacob, thrifted; last seen here in November 2023 for a dash to the office while I had Covid
  • Dress - B. Young; purchased yesterday here for $29.99
  • Boots - Doc Martens, consignment; last worn here in December 2023 for a trip to the periodontist
  • Coat (below) - Sarmite, consignment; last seen here last week

Although I loved wearing this new dress, it didn't feel right for the office.
It's going to move into my around-the-house wardrobe - L deserves to look at nice clothes too!

I love the colour - this is my perfect pink.
Just tights, a turtleneck and some floral Doc Martens and I'm good to go.

Vizzini remains unimpressed.
"Not worth my time."

t was very cold overnight, and chilly in the morning, but I was sweating by the time I got home.
But wearing this coat is always a good choice.

Pockets.
I walked to and from work in my Docs - I put sport insoles in when I bought them, and now they're like sneakers.

Accoutrements:
I haven't been giving my Fluevog pirate scarf much love - it's more my spring palette.

  • Scarf - Fluevog
  • Gloves - consignment

The stuff:
Vizzini "helped" me retie the laces for this photo.

Silver bling:
Some good armour.

  • Chain cuff - consignment
  • Crystal bangle - Juicy Couture, consignment
  • Silver earrings - Israeli, consignment
  • Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall
  • Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
  • Necklace - Dots

  1. I agree: it's a nice dress but not for the office. Better for lounging at home.

In my dreams someone says "You're wearing the same outfit as Sheila!" Alas, only my dreams...

  2. That shade of pink looks fantastic on you! I sold the camel version of that dress last year, it's a lovely quality garment. xxx

  3. It's indeed a beautiful dress and looks quite comfy too, it may be not for the office but it'd be perfect for staying at home or just going errands and I would just add a belt. That pink is also my perfect pink, i have a top in that color and a dress too but it's a little darker but I just love it and it looks so beautiful on you. I really loved your outfit and that coat is stunning!

Have a lovely day and rest of the week!

  6. I'm laughing because, as I am reading this, I am watching a Doctor Who episode called Snakedance and 2 characters were wearing versions of your dress and your coat hat combo! Literally, the exact same colours and shapes! Life inadvertantly imitating art???

  7. A treasure of a dress. Jammy dresses always are. I don't have any as I don't have curves. It means these dresses make me look like a stick.
I agree that your partner also deserves to look at you in nice clothes. I am ashamed to say that nowadays I usually put on an ugly big pair of jogging trousers at night.
