Glitter Balm, and Cat Photo-Bomber

One good day does not a recovery make - today was a little rough, I confess.
My FedEx guy said, "I thought you'd be wearing more colour." Aw. I tried, dammit! I'm pretty glittery, that should count for something.

  • Jacket - GIEFFEFFE by Gianfranco Ferre, vintage 90s, thrifted; purchased here for $4.50
  • Dress - Christian Lacroix for Desigual, thrifted; last seen here in November 2017
  • Shoes - Seychelles; purchased here for $45.00
  • Leather trenchcoat (below) - vintage, thrifted; last seen here in February

This morning's photos were totally taken over by Vizzini. He zoomed out past me as I was headed down the hall to do my stair picture.
"What, this isn't my hall too?"
No, you silly cat, it is not - you are not allowed out here!

Then he insisted on being in most of the pictures.
"I've heard the calling of my fans. They said, "More cat.""
I built my outfit around this bottle green jacket. I rolled up the cuffs a couple of times (a very late 80s/early 90s thing) to show the long sleeves of my dress.

The jacket kept me nice and warm. They haven't quite gotten the A/C right at the new office yet. Brrr.
"Are you still in my picture?"
I don't think I've ever done this dress without a coloured tight before - it felt short, but not too bad.

Jacket done up. A very 90s cut to it - it's crying out for a big broomstick skirt!
I only wore it done up under my coat.

Outerwear - feeling some 70s colours!
First wearing of my Dolce & Gabbana velvet scarf - it was cozy and warm!

  • Velvet D&G scarf - thrifted here for $14.99
  • Wool gloves - Parkhurst

The stuff:
I was worried that these glitter shoes would be too stiff or rub, but they were awesomely comfortable. I can see that the glitter will wear off where they bend for my toes, but they were not too delicate in the office - I didn't see any glitter leakage.

Gold bling:
All kinds of sparkly! My friendship ring is dedicated to my dear Winesday women.

  • Belt - vintage, gift from mother-in-law, Powell River
  • Wooden ring - consignment
  • Amber ring - c. 1996
  • Earrings - vintage fair

  1. Had to pop into the comments and teeheehee about broomstick skirt comment. I remember being so jealous that my sister had one and I didn't. I'd get so grumpy when I had to help her twist it up after she had worn it to maintain the crinkles.
