Happy Spring Equinox! I'm still eking out my fall/winter wardrobe for another 10 days, but I'm also playing with some of my new-to-me items, like today's trousers.
- Blazer - Vivienne Westwood Red Label, vintage, thrifted; last worn here in January in a secret Trek look
- White shirt - no label, thrifted; last seen here under Etro in January
- Trousers - Talbots, thrifted; purchased here for $12.50
- Shoes - Marc; last worn here in December 2017 with purple plaid
- Sleeveless coat - Only, thrifted; last seen here last week
I loved how I felt in this outfit. This wonderful Westwood blazer fits me so perfectly.
I wore this to the dentist at the end of the day to get my chipped front tooth fixed.
This outfit actually looked even more badass with my white floral Doc Martens.
Outerwear - now that it's slightly warmer, this sleeveless coat is perfect over a blazer.
- Wool gloves - Parkhurst
- Silk bow-tie - vintage, Harry Rosen
- Earrings - thrifted
- Hematite ring - thrifted
Do you ever rock a menswear look?
Love this! The shoes are great. You really know how to do this "looking great" thing! And, menswear never looked cuter. I have lost some weight, 60 pounds, and I've been out thrifting, but not finding much. I do like the menswear look. I love how Katherine Hepburn did it in the 40's. She was a groundbreaker. She dared to be herself, comfortable and happy, didn't care what people thought. Trousers with a billowy white blouse, men's shoes and red lips. That look, I would love to recreate it.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Amie, aw, that's really sweet. Wow, what a great accomplishment - I'm proud of you! Try stuff on - you never know! The menswear look is so fun, so why not try it - you can do it, I know it.Delete
The most menswear I get is my converse, ha! I'm more of a dresses and skirts kind of person, which is probably me going to the other extreme after being a tomboy for most of my schooling, haha!ReplyDelete
This is such a great outfit on you, I can see why the boy got a lot of love, it's the perfect piece with your outfit :)
Ha, I can see how you'd want to go the other extreme. I wasn't really one way or another as a kid. Thank you, Mica!Delete
I love the menswear look. The bow tie reminds me a little of Pee Wee Herman... but in a good way!!!ReplyDelete
HA! I should have done the Pee Wee dance in this!Delete
Cute!! I love a menswear look!!!!! Love the blazer!!ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, sweetie!Delete
Very sharp !ReplyDelete
I love menswear but for some reason I don't wear it. I have two ties but have not worn a tie in years!
Give it a spin, Lorena! I think it would look great on you.Delete
I love the androgynous look on you, you look like a cool ass ringmaster in those tartan trousers! xxxReplyDelete
Oh, I should wear them with my ringmaster jacket! Thanks, Vix!Delete
Your outfit is Menswear love! And each piece is quite cool on its own merits. I always feel comfortably strong in menswear, which includes wearing a tie of my husband’s., and usually wear at least 2-3 such outfits during the school year.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Laurie! I steal L's ties every so often. I love that you do this look!Delete
I'm really loving this outfit. I never wear menswear myself, but you can really pull it off. Love the tartan trousers and the cute little bow tie. Those shoes are fabulous, no wonder you were complimented on them! xxxReplyDelete
Thank you, Ann. It can be tricky!Delete
Lovely look! Very cool and sophisticated but fun. The shoes are lovely.ReplyDelete
I'm featuring red plaid trousers on my blog post this week, too! Abercrombie and Fitch 7.00 from the vintage rail in a local charity shop...
We had a fabulous Spring day today! Hurray!
Ooh, must check those out - you find such good deals. Hurray for spring!Delete
