My next few weeks are going to be a little nutty at work. Must take things as they come, don't sweat the small stuff, don't overdo it, chill...chill...chill...
A reminder to myself to be a little easier on myself. This calls for easy outfits, like this one.

I liked this outfit, but the skirt is too big in the waist, so the top wouldn't stay tucked in, and the jacket kept gaping open at my boobular region. Otherwise, I liked it.

Silly cat. He's been suspiciously well-behaved over the last few days.
The stuff:
My feet were very sore from the pink speckled shoes yesterday, so I've swapped them for these navy blue wedges to give my feet a rest. I need to be careful about wearing anything over a 2" heel on a daily basis. I am on my feet a lot and I don't want to do any permanent damage - not being able to wear heels at all would be awful!
Pouffy bling:
My earrings match my shoes. This pleases me greatly.

Since we took away Vizzini's "secret lair" (aka hiding in our bed's boxspring mattress!), he's found himself a new hidey-hole.

This is a corner of our deck where we tend to dump crap we "might need later", like the towels and cardboard I used a couple of years ago to dye a pair of shoes pink. Vizzini is happily nestled into our dining room light fixture box. I've had the fake lizards (there's one under that shelf as well) for over 20 years.
He's snoozing on a can of spray sunblock, a plastic garbage bag, and a couple of towel scraps.

I love it when they find a new hidey-hole - it always makes me laugh at the places they find comfortable. I do love your poufy skirt, but I feel your pain about your blouse popping out. World problems, we has them. xox

ReplyDeleteI just can't wear heels for longer than 10 minutes; not because I damaged my feet wearing crazy shoes when I was younger but I just want to be comfortable! Oh the joys of getting older....

I think green may be my next "must have" colour. I wore too many really high heels when I was in my teens. My poor feet!

I think you have a knack for finding pieces that suit you and have put so much thought into your wardrobe that 'easy' for you is something that would require more thought from most other people. It's really inspiring, makes me want to have a wardrobe that works for me as well as yours does.
