Rush, rush, rush. Blog fast, let cleaner in, get food, go do WW training, home around 10pm.
I need a weekend.- Dress - Zara, consignment; last seen here in April with blue shoes too
- Pants - Ralph Lauren, last worn here on Friday with a nightgown
- Shoes - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last seen here (2nd outfit) a couple of weeks ago for dinner out
I've been wanting to wear this dress with pants - and why not? Pinky magenta pants will do just fine. I knew today would be a busy day, with much physical activity, so I needed to dress accordingly.
I enjoyed this outfit, although it's probably outside most people's comfort zones.
The stuff:
Love these shoes!
Subtle bling:
I actually tried various necklaces and pins at the neck of the dress before I remembered that I had yet to wear the black vintage silk tie that I bought for a whopping $7.00 back here in January, pictures here and here.
- Tie (not shown) - Escada, vintage, thrifted
- Earrings - consignment
- Ring - local
And then I forgot to take it off for my pictures! Silly me!
I have Book Club tomorrow night, so I won't be posting. I'll be back on Friday!
I love that dress with those pants. Its hot!! So cute. I love the dress and pants look and haven't ever really had any good combination to pull it off myself yet but am waiting for the day. That dress is super super cute. Love the colors and the white detail of the collar and cuffs finishes it off perfectly. Have a great weekend-- am signing off early :)
ReplyDeleteI'm short and can't pull off a dress with pants look without looking even shorter, but I do wear dresses with leggings so maybe I should give pants a go :) I like all the colours in your outfit :)
ReplyDeleteMica, I'm only 5'4"! You can do it - go for a pretty short dress.
DeleteExcellent outfit!

Classic Sheila. The necktie is my favorite part.
ReplyDeleteThe little white collar is what makes the print of that dress really pop for me!!!
ReplyDeleteI love a dress with pants! I like the way you've added the tie and the blue shoes for a complete contrast. Lovely!

I like the colors here but I do think it would be out of my comfort zone ;)
ReplyDeleteI love wearing a dress over trousers - but Sandy always chuckles at me - not that I let him harsh my mellow! You look terrific, wearing some of my favortie shoes ever. xox

I love the pairing of this dress with your beautiful magenta trousers. Did I mention that I sorely covet these? Anyway this is a quirky get-up and I like it all the more for that. Hope you're having a great weekend. Am so busy trying to catch up on all of my blog reading x
