Blue Monday: The Houndstooth Edition

I'm excited about my week, mostly because I don't have anything major planned, but also because I have a lot of fun(ky) outfits planned with my new-to-me purchases lately.
Like this sah-weet handmade houndstooth suit! I had a lot of "likes" in person from my coworkers on this outfit, particularly that I'd matched my tights and top.

  • Playboy suit - handmade, consignment; purchased here on sale for $22.50 at the end of December 2015
  • Top - Anne Klein, thrifted; last worn here in August 2015 with all the primary colours
  • Shoes - Diesel, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in October with a cool dress

Buttoned up.

And unbuttoned, which is how I wore it for most of the day.
"I hear suspicious activity in the hallway."
This really is an awesome suit - whoever made it really knew what she was doing. I'm thankful that I'm her size, although a bit smaller in the waist. I wore the skirt fairly low on my hips, but that made the length just right for the office.
Nice tailoring! See why I had to have this?

The stuff:
Those are such cool shoes!

Silver bling:
First wear of my new earrings.

  • Necklace - thrifted
  • Earrings - Glee
  • Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

Tomorrow, my office is full of HR people, in town for training. I have a fun outfit planned for them - but it's still classy KLASSY!

  1. Oh that suit! What a great find. You look very chic in houndstooth. And the blue tights just lift it to a higher level. I LOVE this!!

  2. What a CLASSIC is the houndstooth suit, both in pattern and style. Isn't it fun to funk up what COULD be a very boring, predictable "classic"? Great look!

  6. This outfit is divine, Sheila, just divine. Many would have worn red as the pop of colour so that makes your choice of blue even more spectacular. I must really learn from your bold garments, so so spirited and adventurous :)

  7. Fabulously chic outfit! I adore royal blue (and similar shades) with white and black as well. I was obsessed with that very pairing last winter/early spring and don't think I'll ever stop enjoying it.

  9. You are veritably dripping in style in your suit. Then you up the levels even more with your co-ordinating top and tights in my favourite colour - blue. So far, so delicious but what I really covet in equal measure are those shoes and that necklace - oh yes, even more delicious!
