Strapless, Textured and Patterned

Okay, one more day. I can do this! 
It rained all day, and was really dark and gloomy this morning.


  • Blouse - CABi, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) under sequins for a theatre date with Mom in September 2015
  • Dress - Club Monaco, consignment; last worn here in August with a fruital blouse
  • Shoes - Poetic Licence; last seen here in October 2015 with my sailor dress (and the same obi!)

"Posing again? Rather full of yourself, aren't you, woman?"
I really liked all the textures visually represented here: pinstripes (the dress), paisley (the blouse), chairs and cross-hatching (the obi) and lacy (the tights). Plus, matchy colours!
"Your slippers smell like you."
My WW group loved this outfit, as did my coworkers. Mostly I just waved my floppy accordion cuffs at them.

The stuff:
Sweet Shoes of Awesome! These are my favourite pair I've ever owned (so far), and they're not even Fluevog! I know, shocking!

Red bling:
I had a dry spell with wearing obis, but now I'm feeling the pendulum shift to wearing them again.

L has a house full of people, so now I'm going to enjoy an evening reading in the bedroom. Me, some tea and a warm kitty. This is the life.

    These shoes are amazing. I just realized that when I admire your outfits, they are aspirational in the sense that I want to move in their direction but they are SO FAR ahead of me that I'll never get there -- and that's okay. You're an ideal to strive toward, regardless of how short we fall in the pursuit.
