Return of the Sparkly Chicken Leg Tights

Whew, another late night, but this time it was because I was back at my WW meeting, after a hiatus of 4 weeks. I had to wear something really colourful for my group.

Bam! In your face!

• Dress - Desigual by Christian Lacroix, thrifted; purchased here on the weekend for $24.00
• Boots - Indigo by Clark's; last worn here over Christmas 2015

I saved this fabulously colourful dress for today's outfit. It was lovely to wear - a true "jammy dress" (as in pyjamas). I may have crowed about getting a Lacroix Desigual dress for $24 bucks a few times, hee hee.

But most people reacted to the tights really strongly, in a positive way. I bought these years ago on deep clearance at the Bay department store - go figure, not everyone wants bright yellow tights with steel grey/silver lame (lah-MAY!). Yellow tights always remind me of bird legs, so I dubbed these my sparkly chicken leg tights.

I'd intended to do a black boot, but I liked the warmer tone of the caramel leather better. I'm glad I switched. The black was too harsh.

I adore these boots. They're getting nicely beat up.

Simple bling:

In which I remember that I wore a belt. The dress has an elasticated waist and drapes so that I don't really need a belt, but I have a whack of access cards and keys that I wear all day at my regular job, so I like having the belt for that purpose.

I didn't actually take any of my outfit pictures with the cuff on - I took it to work to give to my coworker Fiona, who loves dragonflies. Unfortunately, it was too small, so I snapped it on and wore it for the day.
