I've had this toile-ish dress since the very start of the pandemic, bought on my first shop after lock-down! That feels like so long ago...
- Dress - PartTwo, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in July 2023 for Book Club at Mindy's
- Shoes - Sam Edelman, consignment; last worn here in May with some work familiars
- Denim jacket (below) - G-Star Raw, consignment, Powell River; last seen here in April for a Mom-Day at her house
But this is now the 6th time I've worn it. It's such a fun shape, and all it needs is a pair of shoes and I'm dressed. Bam!
Although it lacks pockets (grrr), the five swooshy layers speak to me. I walk to work with the sun at my back, and watched my long shadow's layers flip as I walked.
"I look like a chandelier!" I thought to myself.

The way a certain garment makes you feel can be just as important as how it makes you look.
When I giggle and spin in circles (and you know I did that - colleague Camille was a fan), that dress is going to last in my closet.

Incognito. I tossed on a light jacket for the walk to and from work.
I've flipped the cuffs here, but wore them down in real life.

Blue bling:
I can barely feel these long earrings, but catch the hoops out of the corners of my eyes.

Oh golly, yet another fabulous dress! I so agree: how a dress makes you feel is just as important as how it makes you look. And the shoes! The shoes!-readerrita
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this dress!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely yammy dress. I like the shape of it, makes me think of Jazz age and the roaring twenties. The pattern on the dress is very pretty too. I like the shoes you paired with it. A very elegant and chic combo!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
Indeed, it is a dress that suits you well. Hang on to it.

ReplyDeleteYour lovely dress reminds me of a flapper dress from the 1920s. The filigree bracelet, blue rings and drop earrings are my cup of tea! A truly delightful outfit from top to bottom!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
What an unusual dress! The sober colour balances the ultra feminine frills. Gorgeous!
