Unfortunately, she was under the weather and canceled. At least I still had the outfit, which I loved wearing.

They just felt like a good fit.
My coworkers greatly admired all of the pieces of my 'fit, right down to the jewelry.

Viz (my coworker, Vix, not Vizzini the cat) was a big fan of the skirt.
If only I'd remembered the right way to wear it. Zipper in the back, right? Wrong.

I'm wearing it backwards - it looks much better with all this criss-cross business in the back.
I took the jacket off a few times - I always plan for an ensemble to still work without the topper.

I went out into the wild near the end of my day to run a couple of errands.
Folks in stores were enthusiastic. "You always look so nice!"

Good pockets.
I liked the zip done up - the jacket has a tendency to disappear on the sides when open.

I made myself a reminder for the next time I wear my Viv skirt, as it stays out in my closet all year round.
It's one of my blog business cards with a hole punched in it, connected to the hanger with a large paperclip. Go, me!
Out of curiosity, how many pouffy skirts like this (of any length) do you have? I am thinking it is several. To my eye this outfit ticks off cozy, comfy, snazzy and spiffy. :) Am appreciating your practicality of leaving yourself a reminder for the next wearing,
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
I have several drape and puffy skirts. I’ve never counted them
DeleteEd and Viv are a funky pair! And doesn't it feel great to get compliments from folks in stores or people on the streets? I'm trying to do the same, as I know it can make all the difference to one's day.
ReplyDeleteAdding the reminder was a great idea, and thank you for all the snake bling! xxx
Nice 'fit. (Is that how you cool kids talk?) A sure sign of a fashionista -- getting dressed up to "do errands." :)
ReplyDeleteI ran the errands from the office. I did not get dressed just to do them.
DeleteThey make a good looking pair especially with the snazzy gold accessories.
ReplyDeleteYour how to wear directions is inspired! xxx
Haha, that's a great way to remind yourself! I want to see it worn the right way too! Absolutely looooove that skirt, not in the last place because it's Dame Vivienne!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great outfit! Now, you have quite a collection of incredible skirts, but I think I covet Dame Vivienne's the most. Fabulous!
