Monday Reds, and More Copper

Ugh, Mondays. At least I looked fabulous in my new-to-me Diane von Furstenberg dress.
Sometimes you just know when a piece is a keeper. This dress? Oh, yeah, keeper.

  • Dress - Diane von Furstenberg, consignment; purchased here for $24.00
  • Shoes - Faith Low Reumah, Fluevog; last worn here in June 2021 with an orange jumpsuit
  • Jacket (below) - Club Monaco, thrifted; last seen here in June

No rocket science here, just throw a belt on, a cool pair of shoes and gobs of jewelry.
It feels like March out there!

I'd planned on going bare legged with my little shorts underneath the dress.
But I needed the warmth of tights - plus the little shorts!

I'm also wearing a red camisole on the top half, which you can slightly see there - I didn't see many people at work, so I doubt that anyone noticed.
I'll wear a lower one next time.

Masked up.
More reds.

Incognito.
Yes, I am wearing long leather, cashmere-lined gloves. In July.

Accoutrements:
Whenever I wear today's shoes, I wear this scarf. They're good friends.

  • Scarf - Ralph Lauren, consignment
  • Gloves - Echo, consignment
  • Mask - by Mom

The stuff:
Aren't the shoes bizarre? I have a fondness for weird shoes. They are leather and wood - Fluevog hasn't made these for over a decade. This is their 10th year with me, and 17th wearing.

Copper bling:
Some more of my collection. The ball component is common to the necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring, but I got them all at different times!

  • Belt - Fendi, thrifted; last worn here in May
  • Necklace - vintage 60s, consignment
  • Ball cuff - vintage 60s, vintage expo
  • Ring - vintage 60s, consignment
  • Red enamel cuff bracelet - Matisse by Renoir, vintage 50s, vintage fair
  • Earrings - vintage expo

I suspect they are all by Bell Trading Post, but they didn't stamp all of their pieces.

  4. That dress is just perfect, Sheila, so of course it must be a keeper!
The tan belt and copper bling are the only things it needs, and those shoes are pretty fabulous too! If Nancy tires of the dress, she can send it to me, although I doubt it would suit me as well as it does you! xxx

  5. Sheila you look fab as always. The copper is a great accent for the red dress. Love how you said the scarf and shoes are good friends. Uncanny that the copper jewelry is such a great set but bought at different times. shazx

  8. It is a lovely dress which suits you very well. I like the fact that it looks classic at the front and sexy at the back. You have the right bum for it.
The coat is really good with it.
