Coral Belle

Back to our normal scheduling - a regular ol' Jammy Dress.
I wear Jammy Dresses when I don't feel like making much effort.

  • Dress - Cos, consignment; last worn here in November 2021 with green velvet
  • Sandals - Lucky Brand; last seen here in August 2021 with my lettuce dress

But they have maximum impact!
Isn't this a cool dress? I love the enormous deep pockets.

And the bell shape of the skirt. I'm a belle in a bell!
It's a wee bit mullet-y, isn't it?

Building colleague Emily was very taken with the shape and structure.
We both agreed that this is coral, although it does have elements of pink, red and orange. Mix 'em all together, and you get coral.

Masked up.
Matching the bits of turquoise in my accessories.

Incognito.
A silk scarf to keep the sun off my neck. It's still sunny, but now horrendously windy.

Accoutrements:
I often reach for this scarf - it has a good mix of colours.

  • Scarf - Metropolitan Museum of Art, thrifted
  • Mask - Lazy Susan's

The stuff:
This is a very comfy heel - easy to walk in.

Blue and red bling:
A ginormous necklace is never a bad thing!

  • Necklace - thrifted
  • Turquoise/silver ring - Karen's
  • Copper/glass ring - vintage, consignment
  • Bronze/pearl/turquoise/crystal cuff - Myka, consignment
  • Feather copper bracelet - vintage, thrifted
  • Earrings - local

  2. Your blog is a recent and welcome find for me. I have enjoyed looking back through your archive at past outfits and wonderful clothing finds. Your Fluevog shoe collection is a wonder unto itself. I have delighted in your thrift find treasures, appreciated your knowledge of design and construction details, and felt the joy you so evidently express in your thoughtful photos of your daily outfits. It is a joy to dress up and you do it so well. Many thanks for it all!

  5. I like the bell shape. Too many dresses have boring hemlines. And nice color.

  6. I definitely got the jammy dress inspiration from you - you have such awesome ones that really look so stylish! :) Missing warmer days when I could just throw on a dress and call it done, haha! Have been living in jeans instead this winter!
