Oranges and a Sundress

Orange is one of my favourite colours. Well, most colours are my favourite colours, except for beige. Oatmeal is for eating, not wearing!
Oranges are also good for eating, although I'm not fond of them. I like mandarin oranges only; regular oranges have too much pith.

  • Dress - Ted Baker, thrifted; purchased here for $32.95
  • Cardigan - Gap, thrifted; last worn here in May with poppies
  • Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last seen here in May with my zigzag dress

I'd intended to wear my yellow jacket over this dress (this one, last seen in September 2016 when I hemmed and hawed about keeping it), but I didn't like how it looked, and then BAM, my mind was made up. That jacket is in the giveaway pile, and I know it will go to a good home.

Enter tangerine cardigan.
 Yeah, that's better. Softer.

Here's this fabulous Ted Baker dress without a cover-up.
I can see myself wearing this for a weekend or a summer party, but not bare like this for work.

Because I have a lot of work on me already. Too much pattern!
It is a gorgeous dress though - Swoosh Factor 10! - and I loved wearing it.

Got my hat, and I'm ready to go.
I pulled two of the chestal ties (there are four) out of the top of the cardigan for that "I'm wearing neck-floof*" feeling.

*Neck-floof is totally a thing!

The stuff:
One of my coworkers was totally entranced that I have the same shoes in yellow (worn yesterday) and orange. I have them in copper too!

Yellow bling:
I love this yellow "set."

  • Cuff - thrifted
  • Bakelite earrings - vintage 60s, vintage fair

  5. Oh golly how I adore all of these citrusy colours! The dress is uber cute and much longer than it looked on the hanger. Dang, I think it might fit me...

    1. Thanks! I hate it when a perfectly pretty dress is too short - hands off, woman!

  6. Orange looks so good with your hair (I just commented on the next post with the other orange print dress). Orange and purple are opposites on the colour wheel, are they not? That was a very cool idea to pull some of the ties out of the front of your cardigan for added visual interest.

    1. Aw, thank you! Yes, I love doing orange because of it being opposite on the colour wheel! I know my colours!
