Today, things in my world got done. I booked some holiday stuff, had things installed, and made a lot of loud noises. I banged nails into walls!
- Top - Jones New York, vintage 90s, thrifted; last seen here in April with neutral and chartreuse
- Skirt - Episode, thrifted; purchased here last weekend for $17.99
- Shoes - Colour Joanne, Fluevogs; purchased here for $159.99
I had really positive reaction to this outfit - that's the usual response to this classic "fit and flare" silhouette.

This chiffon top is so delicate - it's fully lined, 100% silk, and covered front and back with beading. It's quite heavy. And it buttons up the back with opalescent shell buttons. Would you believe I thrifted it for $2.60?
|"I'm not looking at you."|
- Belt - thrifted
- Bracelet - Coro, vintage 60s, vintage fair
- Earrings - vintage 80s, Joyce's
- Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
You guys really only see the cute side of Vizzini. This is what L and I have to deal with every day.
|"Go on...rub my tum."|
A pouffy leather skirt - one of the most unexpected clothing items ever. It's delicious! Just the thing for doing labour. Glad you got to swing a hammer! And the top is dreamy in a Gatsby kind of way. Niiiice.ReplyDelete
I love pouffy skirts, period. In leather? Gimme!Delete
Love the new skirt and shoes. The whole thing looks great! I have been trying to get beyond relying on fit and flare as I did for years, but always that is what garners the most positive comments.ReplyDelete
I know! And although I dress for myself and not others, I still like getting the compliments so...fit and flare! And look at all the comments. Huh. ;-PDelete
There's nothing more admirable than a feminine woman who can use tools. :)ReplyDelete
Agreed! Two kinds of power!Delete
Oh girl, you have rocked that full leather skirt! Hey Vizzini, I am terrified to rub your tum. xoxReplyDelete
Thanks, Patti! Yes, Vizzini is to be avoided when the tum appears.Delete
How could you not get such a positive reaction to this gorgeous look ?ReplyDelete
You're looking like a million bucks friend. Have a good weekened.
Aw, thank you, Lorena!Delete
What a lovely outfit and the shoes are truly lovely. Can't see them going with a hammer and nails though....ReplyDelete
Re the books. Strangely enough I read less now I'm retired than I did when I was working! I'll bet you'll achieve your goal, this year, it's only July!
Have a lovely weekend
Thanks, Veronica! Oh, I rock a hammer and nails like no one's business! I'm sure I will hit my goal - the only problem is topping it again next year.Delete
Yes, this combo is so flattering for your hourglass figure Sheila so I'm not surprised you got lots of compliments. I love the soft rock look and would definitely wear this myself. Although you do have a better advantage with these beautiful shoes - I don't think I could rival these xReplyDelete
Thanks, Anna! Yes, I can see you in this!Delete
That skirt srsly would be perfect if it had pockets!!!!! It's so cute!!!!ReplyDelete
The skirt! Fabulous, and on you, even more fabulous. (And the cat also).ReplyDelete
