Chartreuse and Green Lace

It's late, I'm hungry (I'm cooking dinner while I write this), and I'm not feeling terribly verbose.

Look, an outfit!
Solid reactions on this outfit today from the work crowd. The mix of chartreuse and emerald green were much commented upon.

  • Cardigan - Joseph A, consignment; purchased here for $34.98
  • Sweater - Ellen Tracy, swap from Caro; last seen here in April with some drape
  • Skirt - Alfred Sung, vintage 80s, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in July 2017 with a mermaid-inspired outfit
  • Shoes - Eject; last seen here in May with Alexander McQueen trousers

Having the cardigan and shoes matching helped tie it all together, as did going with this neutral taupe-y coloured tank-style sweater underneath.
Loved wearing this long swooshy cardi all day.

And it has pockets! I hear roofers above me.
For a bit of fun, here's the first time I wore this skirt, back in 2009 (I wore the same green bead necklace!)

From the back I'm nothing but chartreuse!
This was a very comfy outfit.

I didn't think I would need anything for outerwear, but as you may have noticed in the top stair picture, it was windy!
My olive green velvet ball cap! To the rescue!

The stuff:
Comfy shoes! They're such an odd style and colour, but they've been so useful. Can we call chartreuse a must-have?

Green and gold bling:
I have a lot of green jewelry, I've realized. I have 6+ more necklaces, bracelets and earrings with green too!

  • Jade ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Green/gold ring - consignment
  • Earrings - consignment, Vancouver
  • Bead/chain necklace - vintage 70s?, Mom's
  • Gold chain - Grandma J's
  • Bracelet - vintage 60s, Mom's

I'm going to a vintage fair tomorrow night after work, so make sure to swing by on Sunday for my bigass weekend wrap-up to see what I bought! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

    1. Thanks, Vix! I'm so glad I remembered that I had that cap. I'm excited for the vintage fair - the last time I went to this one, I found my copper belt. May the vintage gods smile upon me!

    1. I do love a good matchy pair of items, don't you? Chartreuse is practically a neutral.

  5. I love this color combo, and it's definitely my kind of outfit! I have my blue lace skirt I'd love to try something like this with, although the long cardigans I do have aren't so similarly coloured.

  10. Smashing outfit, color and fit!

Sitting in Seattle airport awaiting flight home to NY. By the way, we returned to Beacon Hill Park yet again; Robin said it was a definite highlight of Victoria. Fred and I have been inspired (thank you :)) to check out a consignment shop three towns north of us where I think we may find some interesting pieces.

Have a grand time at the Vintage fair. I hope you have some good finds!
    Cheers,
    Laurie.

  12. Oh a vintage fair sounds amaaazing !
I adore that long cardigan, what a marvellous piece and the addition of the cap is unexpected but so COOL.

  13. I used to love wearing chartreuse when I had red hair, but I find it doesn't look so good with grey. I have a pair of black and white shoes by Eject that have the same type of heel; they look so damn cool but they are too narrow across the front for my bunions and too high to be worn for very long....sigh

    1. Oh, that sucks - I'll eventually be all grey, and I wonder how the colour will be for me then? Bummer about your Eject shoes!
