Green, Graphics and Tassels

A few people at work today were super confused by me earrings. "Are you wearing ponytails?"
And, "How did you find earrings that matched your hair?" Really, come on, people. I don't do these things by accident! It's about seizing the moment, when you see magenta tassel earrings.

  • Top - Banana Republic, consignment; purchased here for $8.50
  • Skirt - Sandra Angelozzi, consignment; last seen here in September 2016 in a whale of an outfit
  • Shoes - Coclico; last worn here in April with mostly matching magenta
  • Coat (below) - I.N. Studio, thrifted

I seem to be really grooving on greens lately. This blouse was lovely to wear all day, although I sweated in it on the way home.

It has nice back detail.
We had a new person start today, and she asked me about my tattoos since they were peeking above the back of my top - I was happy to tell her that she was welcome to have her beautiful fox tattoo (on her arm) showing.

Outerwear. A little warmer today, but still needing a coat in the mornings.
I love how these two black and white graphic prints - the skirt and the coat - go together.

The stuff:
I am so glad I bought these shoes - such a beautiful colour, even though they are a wee bit too high. Flat(ter) shoes tomorrow.

Shiny bling:
My necklace did not stay turned the right way in any of my pictures.

  • Necklace - Fossil, consignment
  • Earrings - consignment, Vancouver
  • Ring - Frances Jewelers, c. 1960s, Dad's

  1. Wow! Love this outfit. Will the pendant sit correctly if you secure it using your non dominant hand ie. from right to left instead of left to right.

    1. Nah, it's just really bouncy when I'm wearing it. It doesn't have a dominant side - just coincidence in these pictures as I dash for the timer.
      Thank you!

  2. They are such fun earrings! :) You've made me think now - I've worn my magenta things with lots of neutrals and with blue, but never with green. I'll have to give it a go! Green is just a colour I'm not very confident wearing for some reason!

  3. Haha, you could have said "I went out with my earrings and asked the hair colourist to match the colour.."
I love the details and the bold color against the black and white print. I have always admired this contrast but for some reason can never pull it off myself.

    1. Yes, I think that will be the response next time! Thank you! You can totally do this, Lorena!

  4. Grrr, it is so irksome when a necklace flips the wrong way. But this is a fabulous outfit. The earrings and shoes add just the right punch! The beautiful detail at the back could easily been been referring to your tattoos peaking over the top. We're getting closer to coat-free weather. Yay!! Although those patterns do look great together.

    1. I know, I needed some double-stick tape or something. Thank you! Hee, yes, I create my own detail.

  5. I love this outfit. I like how the length of the green top covers the tummy area but doesn't swamp the lovely skirt. I find it really hard to match tops with knee length skirts because of my muffin top!

The matching magenta earrings and purple shoes (and hair!) are fab.

    1. Thank you, Veronica! My waist region isn't as small as it once was, so I am grooving on these looser tops (when they fit right). Thank you!

  6. The two black and white patterns are ace together, and those shoes are really groovy!

  7. Yes you are grooving on greens and magenta hues! Lovely! I love the wrap back of the blouse , the delicous modern skirt and the details of the tassel earrings! The shoes are gorgeous, but ouchy to my overprotective eye!
Another gorgeous coat! Enjoy the day!

    1. Thank you, Elle! Yes, the shoes are a wee bit high - I don't walk anywhere except around the office in them.
