Double Flare in Denim and Plaid

I'm so far from pretty in pink today, it isn't funny. And yes, I wanted to be Molly Ringwald in "Pretty in Pink" (choose Duckie, you silly twit!), and in "The Breakfast Club" and I just rewatched "Sixteen Candles" for the umpteenth time the other day (Jake! Swoon!).
I'm all business and militaria in my plaid and denim.

  • Jacket - Boom Boom Jeans, thrifted; purchased here for a whopping $8.50. Boo-yah!
  • Sleeveless sweater top - Cable & Gauge, thrifted; last seen here in March with an equestrian vibe
  • Skirt - Bianca Nygard, thrifted; last worn here (3rd outfit) in February with green bookends
  • Shoes - Prepare Hi Steady, Fluevog; last seen here in August with Fawlty ruffles

This is what happens when I forget to set the timer for the stair picture.

Boob shot!
Heh. I loved wearing this jacket all day - I've been having temperature issues in the office (not me, I swear!) and liked the arm coverage, although I did shove the sleeves up and wore it that way all day.
I liked the double flare of the skirt's pleated hemline and the peplum of the jacket.
Gracey's my twin-spiration today in her double flares!

The stuff:
Okay, there is no stuff. Only shoes. No stuff for you!

Actually, I just wore a pair of crystal stud earrings, nothing interesting. Bling will return tomorrow.

  1. Yes, I'm with you on the double-tier flare action. Great jacket!
I wish office buildings had windows that actually OPEN. Don't you wish you could be the goddess of the thermostat? People would be bringing you treats all day long for bribery. L hates those shoes, right? Heh.

  4. I wore a similar military like cut jean jacket on Monday and as much as I like it on you - i feel i have never worn mine in a way I really love.
Lately I have been questioning every single garment I wear …

  7. That's my favorite movie and I agree all the way. Do you know she chose Duckie in the original and they had to refilm the ending because it didn't test well with audiences? That's why Andrew McCarthy's hair looks gross in the dance scene- it's a wig, he'd already shaved his head for another part. <3 Looking fab as always!
