Grey Cloud, Pink Boss, Black Swordfish

Another bitterly cold day - layers and coverage were needed.
I went a little overboard with my pink today, but it made me feel happy, plus I went out for lunch with one of my committees and I wanted to be fancy for them.

  • T-shirt - O-Gen, thrifted; last worn here under a jacket in October 2024
  • Cotton sweater - Scotch & Soda by Maison Scotch, thrifted; last seen here in October 2024 with 70s chevrons
  • Trousers - Joie, consignment; last worn here in November 2024 with these same shoes!
  • Shoes - Classy Nora, Fluevog; last seen here in November with classy PANK
  • Baby alpaca/cashmere coat - Mallia, consignment; last worn here last week

I love the shape of this grey sweater - it is wide but has a snug waistband, which I've "French-tucked" in here to show off my belt.
The sleeves are oversized but short - it feels like a little puff of a cloud.

The wide neckline keeps it from being too airy, so I layered a white tee underneath. Can you see my little black kitty brooch on my sweater?
My colleagues LOVED my pink Boss Pants.

I wish the pockets were bigger.
The pockets on the back are fake - they'd never do that on a man's trouser! OUTRAGE!

Outerwear.
As I was walking home, a lovely person said, "I like your pink!"

Why thank you, kind stranger!
Incognito - it was clear and cold cold cold.

Accoutrements:
All the pink!

  • Toque - thrifted
  • Leather gloves - consignment
  • Fur boa - thrifted

The stuff:
These shoes are a very comfy heel - I walked to and from the Thai restaurant in them. The bump on the toe is the Swordfish signature, so stylin'!

  • Belt - gift from Ruth
  • Feather brooch - Boucher, vintage 60s, thrifted
  • Wooden cat brooch - consignment
  • Lucite/silver studded cuff - Alexis Bittar, consignment, Vancouver
  • Black Lucite/crystal bangle - Alexis Bittar, consignment, Sidney
  • Silver/obsidian ring - consignment
  • Silver chain ring - Mexican, consignment
  • Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
  • Flocked heart earrings - consignment

More pink love!

  1. Yay for fabulously bright and cheery pink! Makes me think of cardinals against the snow, of which we have several - birds and inches. :) Bright color set against winter’s shades makes for smiles. Add in a Thai lunch and your day sounds just right.
I love your entire outfit. For the fun of it I will research Scotch & Soda.
We are relieved this morning because there was a local off-season special election and the candidate we supported won heartily over the Washington endorsed candidate. Whew!
Between your joyful pinks (and those wonderful pants!) and the election result Wednesday is starting out with a smile. :)
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. Thanks so much, Laurie! Yes, bright colour in grey winter is something I realized I really needed many years ago.
It's a fun brand - they make quirky clothes in nice prints and colours. I always take a second look when I see their stuff in the stores.
That is a relief! Phew! Hope the rest of your week is just as good.

  2. There's no limit on pink on a cold Winter's day!
The fake back pockets are an outrage indeed, but I'm absolutely loving that grey jumper! xxx

  6. Thanks so much, Ivana - I love pink and grey together. I think kitten heels are usually less than 1 inch - these are around 2.5".
