Anyway, I was out thrifting after Ultimate last weekend with Alison, one of our newer players, and spotted this on the racks. The colours were too bold for her, but seriously, few colours are too bold for me. I pulled the turquoise out of it with this skirt and a turquoise cami (not quite the same shade but close enough!).
Black is the obvious choice to wear with it, so I did all my accent pieces in black:
My heeled loafers, my black earrings and necklace. I love the drama of the black wrap tie hanging down. Drama, I tell you!
And guess how much I paid for this lovely wrap sweater?

Um, yeah!

It has white, black, turquoise, baby blue, orange and hot pink. Love!

These shoes are quite comfy, but a whole floor of our office was on the move today and I was lugging around boxes and bins of paper, and now my dogs are howlin'! I cannot wait to sit down with my dinner and some wine!
The jewels:

A bit blurry, sorry. My Grandma J's faceted jet bead necklace from the 50s, and some modern stone earrings.
Wrap cardi (Le Chateau, thrifted), cami (Esprit), skirt (Cabri, thrifted), shoes (Kate & Me), necklace (Grandma J, vintage 50s), earrings (The Cobbler).
Great find! Reminds me of Target's Missoni collection that people are currently peeing their pants over. :-)
ReplyDeleteYa, you certainly don't slowly ease people into you! I love the amount of colour! Maybe someday I'll have your self-confidence! Despite all the colours, you wear the clothes, they don't wear you!
ReplyDeleteYou've got a bit of a Missoni look going on!
ReplyDeleteBric-brac, and you wear it well!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Sheila, you went and owned that Target/Missoni look, without waiting in line for 3 hours! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great deal! I love this outfit, I am crazy about anything turquoise, plus the zig-zags, sigh...
ReplyDeleteHA! Missoni, baby! Good for you for finding such a pretty alternative for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI love that you didn't just wear the wrap top with a black top or dress... the turquoise dress just makes it pop. And I so envy your grandma's jet jewelry... I bet she was almost as fab as you!
ReplyDeleteyou make me laugh--the zig-zaggy stuff--lol! And love it with the tourqoise---love ya!
ReplyDeleteChrista, yes, that's it!
ReplyDeleteCara, no, not really. It's really "fake it till you feel it", honest!
Wendy, that's it, thanks!
Christine, yes, it *is* like ric-rack, thanks!
Patti, ha, thank you. I guess Le Chateau knows a trend!
Lesa, thanks!
Kristen, thank you!
'Doll, I probably will at some point! Yes, Grandma J was pretty awesome in her style for many years.
Paula, thanks!
I love the chevron print in your sweater, what a find! The combo of turquoise & red isn't something I've thought of before but I'll have to try because it looks so nice together. Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteUm, hello fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Emmett Katherine (and thank you for reading!). I love turquoise and red or orange together - go for it!
ReplyDeleteFreeda, aw, thank you, hon. :)
This reminds me of MISSONI - and i love it as i absolutely want your loafer pumps - what a great pair of shoes.
ReplyDeleteThat's the name, Lorena, thanks! I love the loafers - I'm not big on the flat loafers, but with a heel, I'm sold!
