...all stuff you've seen before! There is not a single new-to-me thing here.
- Jacket - Dolce & Gabbana, vintage 90s, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) in August 2024 with silk pants
- Silk top - no label, thrifted; not tracked
- Skirt - Louis Feraud, vintage 80s, consignment; last seen here in July 2024 for a Mom-Day at Finnerty Gardens
- Shoes - Sole Talk Lenora, Fluevog; last worn here in August 2024 with a green dress
- Suede coat (below) - Danier Leather, consignment; last seen here earlier this month
But I've never worn this combination of items before, so it may as well be all new, right?
Longtime readers will recognize this studded baby blue denim jacket. And here's what I always forget to show:
The lining! It's leopard mesh - in fact, the EXACT leopard mesh as my D&G mesh top (this one). Perhaps they are the same season?
I layered this sleeveless silk orange top with it, and then added this wonderful mitered stripe zig-zag vintage skirt.
I layered a full vintage slip under it all...then realized you can see the orange top tucked in. Oh, well. There are a bunch of missing studs on the jacket, but that doesn't bother me.
I was too dazzled by the chevrons in the skirt to care.
Outerwear - glad I kept this suede coat out as it was chilly (although sunny).
Spring weather is rather mercurial, so I need to be ready for almost anything.
Accoutrements:
At some point in the summer, these pics stop and I just shove my scarves into the Stuff picture.

- Silk scarf - Metropolitan Museum of Art, thrifted
- Leather gloves - consignment
I'd had these shoes out for fall/winter and didn't end up wearing them at all. Nothing in my cold weather closet worked with them. I loved wearing them in this outfit, though - they're very soft and comfy.
Blue and orange bling:
Double belts! The light blue matches the jacket and the darker blue matches the shoe buckle.

- Steel/Lucite ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted

That's a fabulously zingy spring outfit, that skirt is a joy and the orange cami looks wonderful with the black and white! xxx
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love this outfit so much!! I'm going to shop my closet to recreate this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant way to greet April! I really like the mitred stripes of the skirt. That’s a sign of quality work when the. mitres line up so well and so many seams, too! Those shoes are the perfect cherry on the bottom for this look!

The stripes are such fun.. love the shoes as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous outfit to start off the season! The zig-zag skirt is one of my favourites of yours and wouldn't go amiss in my wardrobe :-) Loving the pops of orange from the silk top and those wonderful shoes. The double belts are a great idea, and how cool is the lining of that jacket! xxx
ReplyDeleteLove love love this entire outfit…the proportions, the color, the Chevron of the skirt, the vibrant top, the jewelry, the shoes, the belt and jacket! Everything about it is perfect and is a glorious way to welcome April! Well, actually bid farewell to March. ;)
