Pops of pink kept me happy, especially the shoes. It's so important to have colour at this grey time of year.

I wore it buttoned all day, having learned my lesson the last time I wore this gull-wing pleated skirt, which is a bit big in the waist and sits low. It looks better with a belt over the waistband, but I planned to keep the jacket buttoned - and I did!
Swooning over these beautifully-matched lines.
Swoosh! I love the movement in this skirt, and the curved shape.
Outerwear - not even my warmest.
Not that I'm daring Winter to get colder.
Happy like this, thank you!
A bit blurry in the morning before coffee...the Fuzzy Flamingo is REALLY fuzzy.
Accoutrements:
This is the cutest toque I own.
- Scarf - MetroWear, San Francisco, 2006
- Toque - thrifted
- Leather gloves - Roeckl, consignment
The stuff:
Pretty pink shoes, but they got a little bit more use in the office this time and I noticed that there are tiny bits of white on the toes. Still, they are so awesome and very comfy - I've touched up the toes of my shoes before (with felt pens!). Bangled bling:
I did some research on my new-to-me stone bangle. I think it's a dyed lavender jadeite, not amethyst. It's darker where there are natural cracks in the jadeite, which indicates dye gathering there. It's not a terrible thing, just means that this lavender jadeite might have originally been a much lighter whitish purple than this vivid colour. It's also worth less than a natural one...but the $63.00 price tag was still about a third of similar carved bangles online.

Love love love the wool plaid blazer! Also your toque, shoe color and the lavender bangle. :-) Pops of color in the winter are always a big plus, even if it's not all that cold (though we are slated to have another spell of very low temps later in the week, oof!)
