This is the type of office look I did for years and years in the Before Times, but which now feels not so much me. Colleague Vizz (a real person, not the cat) loved this outfit.
- Leather studded jacket - Michael Kors, consignment; last worn here in March over my Kenzo tiger dress
- Blouse - Nygard Black Label, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in February with black, green and copper
- Wool-blend skirt - Totonko, vintage 00s, thrifted; purchased here for $9.00
- Tall leather boots - Stuart Weitzman, consignment; last worn here in September with COS velvet
- Leather coat (below) - Jeno de Paris, vintage 70s, thrifted; last seen here in September
But I settled for trading out "real" shoes for these over-the-knee ones.
Leather, studs and tall boots for the badassery.
The skirt was good. Not too tight, good pockets.
I didn't take the studded leather jacket off at all, but here's the outfit without it. Note the belt over the high waist - I did this back in the late 80s/early 90s all the time.
This blouse is still useful to me, but when I retire I'll pass it along. That (retirement) won't be happening any time soon, however. Outerwear - it was very windy with torrential downpour on the way to work. My leather coat dried out during the day.
On the walk home, it was merely windy.
Accoutrements:
I was snug and warm, and the hat stayed on well in the swirling breezes. - Scarf - Pierre Cardin, vintage 80s, Mom's
- Hat - Delux, Saanich Fair, c. 2008
- Leather gloves - Roeckl, consignment
The stuff:
I like the look of very tall boots but they take up a lot of room when I pack my bag. I roll the legs up tightly to squeeze them in.- Grommet belt - gift from Ruth
- Skinny belt - Nygard
Blurry bling:
I was holding Vizzini when I took this - I blame his purring for the blurring.

- Fingerprint earrings - Daisung Kim, MoMA, thrifted; purchased here for $2.00
- Silver/green stone ring - consignment, Sidney
- Silver/onyx ring - Tocara, vintage fair
