Absolutely nothing new in the outfit - just playing with stuff I already have and love.
- Cardigan - Desigual, consignment; last worn here in September with a squares skirt
- Sleeveless turtleneck - Contemporaine, thrifted; last seen here in October for my birthday lunch with Mom
- Trousers - Long Tall Sally, consignment; last worn here in October with a beaded yellow vintage top
- Shoes - Modern Living Slant, Fluevog; last seen here in August with stripes and goldfish
- Cocoon coat (below) - B. Young; last seen here in February
I had to plan for exposing my upper arm, so layered a sleeveless turtleneck and a cardigan.
I didn't wear the cardigan unzipped like this - it doesn't show the pattern properly unless it's semi- or fully-zipped.
Without the cardigan. I like showing my ink.
I was pleased with the addition of the red plastic grommet belt to the orange Boss Lady trousers. Black, red, white, orange, bright blue - I have all of these colours in my closet. I could build 10 different outfits with it, easy.
I've liked every outfit I've done with this cardigan - it's a winner. Not to mention the sequined mouth! How amazing is that?

One arm has swirls and/or tiger stripes in blue.
I even matched my outerwear to the cardigan.
The Blue Cocoon returns!
The other arm says "Desigual" in a bunch of backward letters.

And yes, my arms were cold (which actually felt good on the jabbed side), but not that bad. I walk fast.
This is a very snuggly coat - and I'm gonna be seen, that's for sure!
Accoutrements:
More reds to play off that cardigan. It's really working hard in this outfit. - Silk scarf - Elaine Gold, vintage, consignment
- Leather gloves - Echo, consignment
The stuff:
I didn't do a ton of walking, just my usual rounds of the office to check in on my colleagues. These are a pretty good heel, though.

- Belt - vintage 90s, consignment
- Bakelite cuff - vintage 60s, vintage mall, gift from L
- Silver/Lucite bracelet - Alexis Bittar, consignment, Vancouver
- Silver/Lucite earrings - Tania Gleave, Granville Island studio
- Silver/onyx ring - Tocara, vintage fair
- Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes
I forgot to take the separate picture of the bling, oops!
That sweater really is a showstopper! And, I love the blue and orange combination. The Boss Lady pants seem like they would have really good swish factor. As always, the Fluevogs are the icing on the cake!

Isn't it a stunner, Marsha? Thank you! I loved this outfit overall.
DeleteThat Desigual cardigan is absolutely amazing and definitely playing the starring role in your outfit. The orange boss lady trousers are its perfect companion, though, and I'm loving the pops of blue from the cocoon and shoes! xxx P.S. You've just reminded me to sort out this year's jabs!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ann! I loved the outfit and how the cardigan tied it all together.
DeleteI may have said this before, but orange is definitely your colour! Those trousers are epic, as is the glorious Desigual cardigan!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great too by the way. Your neat fringe has reminded me to give mine a trim!
Oh, you are too kind, Claire! Thank you! Yes, I love when my fringe is nice and blunt.
DeleteFrom head to toe, outer wear inward - accessories included, this is a fabulous outfit filled with uplifting bold color, perfect fit and an air of pure comfort! I am a fan of most Desigual and am now motivated to dig my two pieces out of storage for the sheer joy of wearing fun clothing.
ReplyDeleteHoping your arm isn’t too sore from the jab.
Cheers, Laurie
Thanks so much, Laurie! It's one of my faves this week, for sure (which means you'll see it on Substack next week!). I'm a fan of SOME Desigual - it still annoys the heck out of me that they ignore the back of their dresses and tops. But the joy of their patterns and colours outweighs that with this cardigan, for sure, and I'm glad you are inspired to pull yours out and wear them.
DeleteMy arm is 100% fine today - it was sore on Wed morning, and eased off over the day.
Thanks again!
That cardi has Sheila written all over it! x
ReplyDeleteHeh, maybe that's what it says on the arm? "Sheila!" Thanks, Vix!
DeleteYou are right, the cardigan is the star, but your styling makes it shine brighter.

Aw, thank you, Greetje!
