Lime Green, Pops of White and Mom's Jewelry

I attended a work event after my day in the office - my colleagues there were very entertained by my bright green dress.
"It's very lime," said one. L said I looked like "Classic Joker" - in a good way!

  • Dress - Zara, consignment; purchased here for $34.99
  • Shoes - Zoomies Ishshoes, Fluevog; last worn here in October 2023 with autumn whites and acid-wash denim
  • Suede coat (below) - Tadmor, vintage 70s, vintage mall; last seen here in February

The light indoors is not as accurate - the colour is closer to the neon green in the stair picture. Vibrant!
I enjoyed seeing my colleagues and even played a game of pool with Sid. He won - I am terrible at pool, but enthusiastic. I like to hit the balls around!

This is the ultimate Jammy Dress, although it lacks pockets.
All the side gathers make it very drapey. It looks like a big droopy sack without the belt.

I look forward to wearing it with other colours, but for today I went with pops of white.
It was comfy to wear - I liked the nice thick fabric.

Incognito.
It was very cold today, despite the sun later.

I was glad I had this thick wind-resistant suede coat.
Aw, this makes me miss Vanity Fair Antique Mall - I bought it there, new with its original tags on! (pics here).

Accoutrements:
This scarf was perfect with the outfit. A gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent from the 1980s - what a find.

  • Scarf - Yves Saint Laurent, thrifted
  • Gloves - Parkhurst

The stuff:
My feet were tired from two hours of standing and playing pool at the event, but I do love these shoes.

Green bling:
Mostly Mom's!

  • Belt - Banana Republic, thrifted
  • Rhinestone bracelet - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Glass bangle - thrifted
  • Necklace - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Olivine/coral ring - Hawaii, c. 1976, Mom's
  • Cocktail ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Earrings - Stella and Dot, consignment, Vancouver

Green is a dominant colour in my spring/summer wardrobe, and this "set" holds a special place in my heart.

  1. More spring color! I had a chuckle when reading L’s comment. ;) The side gathers take the dress up a notch from plain to interesting. I can just picture you enjoying playing pool as you hit a ball; there’s a purpose to this game, who cares! Always special to wear jewelry that is special for the person it came from. I think your coat is teal; what a lovely deep color.

  4. Never mind the lack of pockets, that is one stunner of a dress. Very lime indeed and it pairs fabulously with your hair! And you're wearing yet another one of my favourite coats of yours too. The scarf is the perfect go-between! xxx

  5. That dress has a beautiful shape. Go bold or go home as they say! I love the coat that you have teamed it with and of course a touch of YSL doesn't hurt! x

  7. My, that's a gorgeous neon dress. I love how bold is this neon green colour.
I love the 'classical Joker in a good way' compliment. I always thought his fashion sense was rather fabulous. I liked comic books as a kid.
The green designer scarf is really a perfect pairing with this dress. A wonderful find.
    You look fantastic!
