Back at work, and it wasn't so bad, even after a nice chill long weekend. I enjoyed my outfit and had fun showing off parts of it to my colleagues.
- Frock coat - Noa Noa; last worn here (3rd outfit) in January 2018 to see the Pack AD
- Dress - Trina Turk, consignment; purchased here for $52.00
- Boots - Cougar, thrifted; first worn here in January with a lot of brooches (a brigade!)
- Sleeveless coat (below) - Only, thrifted; last seen here in January
When I was playing around in my closet last night - that's the last thing I do before I go to bed - I thought about layering a shirt or turtleneck under this dress, but was kind of "meh" about it. Then I took a quick look at my cardigans (nah, not feeling cardis right now), and then last a peek at my jacket rail.
The buttons on the coat sealed the deal - they are tan and pick up that colour in the pattern of the dress.
Hand in pockets!
Outerwear - it's much warmer now, and I risked wearing my sleeveless coat over this, since the frock coat doesn't fit well under my other coats.
- Toque - Danier Leather
- Fur boa - thrifted
- Gloves - Cejon, thrifted
Realizing when I got home that I'd forgotten to take a picture of just the dress.
- Necklace - Aldo Accessories
- Earrings - Aldo
- Pearl ring - Erth, consignment
- Crystal ring - Uffizi Gallery gift shop, Florence, Italy

I know, I need to wear them soon! Thanks, Becky!Delete
Orange leather shorts? Perfect to wear with your orange leather gloves you bought over the weekend! I like your new dress too. XReplyDelete
I have an orange leather coat too! Thanks, Jess.Delete
You had me at pinstripes and pearls....two of my favourite things!ReplyDelete
Oh YES to orange leather shorts, ahem, sorry.... ORANGE LEATHER SHORTS.
Thanks, Samantha! Ha ha! Yes, they do get cranky when they aren't all-caps.Delete
That dress is fabulous especially with the walking Docs and your beautiful body art. Hooray for it being warm enough to wear that phenomenal frock coat, too. xxxReplyDelete
Thanks, Vix! I love the frock coat and always like getting it into an outfit!Delete
Your monochromatic outfit is gorgeous, and I love the pattern play of the dress with the frock coat. The dramatic pearls are perfect with it as well! The frock coat worn with the ORANGE LEATHER SHORTS was pretty fabulous too. xxxReplyDelete
They worked even better in person, Ann, thanks! I know, I need to wear the shorts again!Delete
ORANGE LEATHER SHORTS....AWESOME!! Great outfit! Love the dress and that coat is so cool with all the details.ReplyDelete
Hee hee, thanks, Cheryene!Delete
Fantastic coat and dress! The pockets are fabulous, and don't know why but I love pockets in skirts and dresses. What is that tee you're wearing with the orange shorts? Good luck with your toe, that must hurt a lot!ReplyDelete
Much appreciated, Nancy! I adore pockets - they are often the "make or break" on whether I buy a skirt or dress.Delete
The tee is a tour shirt from Frank Turner. It has a ship and roses on it.
Yes, thank you - it's pretty sore. :(
I am so glad you shared your new dress from Trina Turk. It’s quite chic and I love that it has pockets. It is so perfectly matched up with that elegant coat. How I love the embroidered detail in the back! I’m glad you were walking in comfy shoes . Ooh, perforated booties and pearls..oh my !ReplyDelete
Much love to start this week !
Thanks so much, Elle! I'm quite enchanted with the high quality of the dress, and how nicely it played with the coat. Comfy shoes for the win!Delete
Very well put together. Wouldn't have come up with this. I live and learn.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Greetje! Sometimes I surprise myself.Delete
woww, I totally love this outfit!, particularly love your pinstriped coat, its fabulous back and cool vibe! and it looks wonderful with the dress, the boots, the pearls! (great accessorizing indeed!). And perfectly layered under the sleeveless coat! it looks great and I'm amazed by how versatile is this kind of coat! You rock it!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Monica! It's really a beautiful piece, that coat.Delete
I see you're already wearing the new Trina Turk dress.ReplyDelete
For a moment I thought this was an ode to Karl. The pearls, patterns are so classic and just look so modern with the boots. I would have never thought of boots, they give it a real cool urban vibe.
Yup, I always try to wear my new items right away! I'm excited to have that available for spring and summer.Delete
Yeah, I can see that ode too! I liked the boots with it; in the old days I would always have done heels with it.
Great pairing of dress and jacket my dear, perfect! And thanks for reminding me about my massive pearls - we sometimes need a prompt don't we?ReplyDelete
Massive pearls are a must, Anna!Delete
I remember those orange leather shorts! The dress and long jacket work beautifully together.ReplyDelete
I still have them! Thanks, Shelley!Delete
