I felt very girly and floral today. Buttercup yellow and daisy white! Quintessential spring colours.
Although I was having some hot moments in the afternoon, this lovely vintage angora sweater was still just right for these warm spring days.- Cardigan - vintage 50s, thrifted; last worn here in February with tweed
- Skirt - no label, thrifted; last worn here in August 2014 with more yellow (and blue polka dots)
- Shoes - Big Presence Desmond; last seen here in March with vintage stripes and copper
I just wore a vintage camisole under the cardigan today - I had to pin the chest-level hooks to keep them from boinging open. I prefer it how I wore it the first time, with just the waist-level hooks done up. Ah well.
I complained last year that I'd only worn this skirt once in a year - it is on the chopping block. But now that I've worn it and felt how nice it is to wear again, well, I'm lookin' at you, PVC white skirt that rips whenever I look at it! Who's on the fence, now, eh?
The stuff:
I am disappointed in the finish of these shoes - it scuffs really easily and the metallic copper is rubbing off in places. For the amount of money I paid for these, they had better last longer than that. However, they look good in pictures, and I do love them, so maybe no one but me notices the scuffs?
Vintage bling:
I love vintage jewelry. It has nice heft and detail.
- Top bracelet - Trifari, vintage 60s, vintage fair
- Bottom bracelet - Trifari, vintage 60s, Mom's
- Earrings - vintage 60s, vintage fair
- Floral ring - Sarah Coventy
- Crystal ring - late 90s
Off to my WW meeting!
I don't notice any scuffing on the shoes, but highly reflective metallics are very tricky to photograph!
ReplyDeleteI really like that cardigan buttoned up all the way - it's a lovely piece and nice with the eyelet skirt.
I think buttons up cardigans look so elegant.. nicely done Sheila.
ReplyDeleteI could be biased but this outfit is the one. Lovely, beautiful....when I grow up I want to dress like you.
ReplyDeleteMerci
