Lemon-Lime and Splatter

Heading for a long weekend - it's Victoria Day next Monday - and I'm already champing at the bit to get there!
Lemon? Lime? I have all the flavours, including splatterberry.

  • Jacket - Jules & Leopold, thrifted; purchased here for $8.50
  • Top - Harve Bernard, thrifted; last worn here in February with barns and horses
  • Skirt - handmade, thrifted; last worn here in September 2014 with much red
  • Shoes - Fly London; last seen here (3rd outfit) in February with plaid

I don't think this jacket was quite right with the skirt (although it's a superb colour match) - the shape is quite boxy, so I think a more pencil-y shape of skirt next time. However, I love the colour and I like the jacket overall (pockets!).
Ooh, I'm showing my underpinnings, how lewd of me - my slip is showing. This splatter skirt is so awesome, but not lined, and I still need the warmth of a slip.

The stuff:
Gorgeous green shoes!

Lime-lemon bling:
Grandma J's set - I love pulling it out.

  • Brooch/earrings - vintage 60s, Grandma J's
  • Ring - consignment

I'm ravenous - off for dinner!

  2. Great print on the skirt and those are the shoes I would steal from your closet if I could fit into them! I'm sooo looking forward to the long weekend as well, although I'm hoping it's not as hot as this past one was here (I know, after the winter we had, can't believe I'm complaining)

  3. Great colour combo.
I agree with you on the jacket. I think it will look better with a garment that is more fitted.

  4. Can you belt the jacket to trim the line?

  5. Good idea, Ann! It's a little bulky and short to be belted. I'll just try something different next time.
