Half-Day in Flocked Floral and Brown

I managed three hours at the office, my head utterly stuffed up, feeling worse and worse, before I went home.
It's allergies to the blooms in the city - whenever we have that bit of "early spring," it's some combination that just punches me.

  • Jacket - FJD; first seen here in November 2025 with my Weird Adidas tulle skirt
  • Sleeveless turtleneck - Contemporaine, thrifted; last worn here in July 2025 under that silk mustard blazer
  • Flocked tulle skirt - no label, consignment; last seen here in December 2025 with pinks
  • Boots - Original Sabado, Fluevog; last worn here in February to visit Mom
  • Cocoon coat (below) - B. Young; last seen here in February

This flocked floral tulle skirt is at the end of my rack of long skirts, so I'm always looking at it and wanting to wear it.
I paired it with this Dots sample I picked up in the fall - it's not great quality, but it's a very cool design, and I wanted to make sure it's closet-worthy.

It was! And there was much cuddling.
"I love you!"

Barnabas, you have to learn to pause for the timer.

Incognito.
It was rainy, cold and windy, just the kind of day when you want to go back to bed.

The stuff:
The most comfortable boots ever.

  • Hat - gift from Tammy
  • Brooch - Monet, vintage fair
  • Silk scarf - fake Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - vintage, thrifted

Black bling:
All favourites.

  • Lizard brooch - gift from Cat
  • Lucite bracelet/earrings - Alexis Bittar, consignment, gift from L
  • Eelskin bangle - fake Gucci, vintage 90s, gift from Mom & Dad
  • Necklace - J. Crew, consignment
  • Brass ring - vintage mall
  • Brass leopard ring - thrifted

Some Whateley pictures:
Whateley going after L's dice.

Snoozing in the tray.
Such a sweet face.

And now...to bed!

  1. Sorry to hear that your allergies are so bad right now. I have to watch out for the pollen on my peace lily, but at least it is no problem unless I disturb a flower. Wind and blossom trees are what you are dealing with, of course. At least you are not allergic to cats, and hey, you get extra time with them today while you suffer!
