- Silk blouse - Pierre Cardin, vintage 70s, consignment; first seen here in April with leopard and mock-croc
- Nylon dress - Motion, vintage 90s, consignment; last worn here in November 2024 with my Halston blouse
- Booties - MJUS, thrifted, Sidney; purchased here for $29.99
- Leather coat (below) - Danier Leather; last seen here (2nd outfit) in January over plaid pants
I layered it under this lovely "parachute" nylon dress. It's swooshy in a stiff sort of way.
And it makes that Nylon Noise. Whoosh! Also - pockets! Hooray! I picked the coat to complement the boots.
I liked how the bubble hem of the dress flared out under the slim coat.

The stuff:
I walked to and from work in these booties, and they were very comfortable. I added a thick insole as they are a size too big. Perfect!
- Scarf - Uniqlo X Marimekko, consignment
- Pleather hat - Babaton, consignment
- Suede gloves - no brand, purchased here at Dots for $19.99
Minimal bling:
I'd forgotten that the sleeves on the silk blouse are very short, and had skipped bracelets. I missed them.
- Ponyhair belt - Gap, thrifted
- Anneke & Lars silver ring - vintage mall
- Silver/jasper ring - thrifted
- Silver/red enamel ring - antique shop, Sidney
- Metal rose earrings - Betsey Johnson, swap from Cat
Last night, L came and got me - one of the kittens was finally using the cushy house we bought for them! Whateley, you look so happy.
"This is soft."
Of course, he only snoozed there that one time and only for a little while.
I had supervision in the bathroom in the morning: the gargoyle, Barnabas and Whateley.
"What's she doing to her face?" "I don't know, but I'd like to chew on that brush..."

Cool elf booties! Maybe he only sleeps in the cushy house when you are out, thinks it is not allowed :). He looks super happy. Aaww. Lise
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lise! Doubtful, they tend to avoid it, and now that we've made a big deal of it, they'll ignore it entirely (cats!).
DeleteLove the outfit, and I love Whateley’s soft, lovey wake-up face! Readerrita
ReplyDeleteHe's such a sweet boy - has major jealously issues with Barnabas, so we've been working on ensuring he gets enough attention. Thank you, Rita!
DeleteBarnabas and Whateley are trying to figure out how to wake up the gargoyle so it will play with them. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here in my bathrobe appreciating your jammy outfit coupled with the comfy shoes. And yay for red!
Cheers, Laurie
He's their pal, for sure, Laurie! Agreed, I love a good jolt of red! I wish I were in my bathrobe...
DeleteLove all the reds! What a fun and seasonal outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe kitties are growing so fast. 🥰🥰
They are getting big! Both are 7lbs now! Thanks so much, Julia!
DeleteIt's fascinating how the character of the dress changes with the red and white blouse! I took a look at the November link and I like both versions. I have to smile at the kittens supervising your morning makeup session!
ReplyDeleteThat's how I know it's a good Jammy Dress - it goes with a lot of different layers, both under and over the dress!
DeleteAren't they sweet? I love that they hang out with me!
I’m swooning over the blouse! Festive looking too.
ReplyDelete-Goody
Isn't it pretty? Very swoon-worthy! Thanks, Goody!
DeleteHi Sheila, someone I know sprinkled catnip in the bed and now the cat hardly leaves it!
ReplyDeleteWe read that kittens don't respond to catnip until they're 6 months+ old, so we are waiting to introduce them to it after they've had their snip-snip (a little reward for the temporary pain). But a great idea!
DeleteThat outfit is absolutely delightful! Like Goody, I'm swooning over that blouse. It definitely deserves to be worn more. I used to have a skirt in "parachute" nylon and remember the Nylon Noise well.
ReplyDeleteWe got Bess a similar house when we first got her, and much to our surprise she was in there all the time. Then after a couple of months she started ignoring it completely and never went near it again. Cats indeed! xxx
It's fairly new to me (less than a year), so I haven't quite integrated it into my wardrobe. It's so gorgeous though, seriously, the fabric must be touched - it's the thickest silk.
DeleteCATS! Whateley hasn't looked at it since. I'll take the tip from the above commenter and toss some catnip in there once they've been snipped.
This vibrant vintage silk blouse is gorgeous. How lovely to have a vintage Pierre Cardin piece. Vintage items are the best.
ReplyDeleteI love how you styled it with the black maxi and that stunning coat.
Have you thought about styling it with those pink Boss Lady pants you have? I think it would also work with a bold item like that. There is also a floral ruffled maxi you have that I think would go fabulous with it.
It's a truly gorgeous blouse - the silk is so thick and slinky. I agree - vintage is the best! Thank you - I appreciate the thoughts and ideas! I am not sure which floral ruffled maxi you mean? Is it a skirt?
