Silver Leather and Cobweb Knit

I'm nearly recovered from the weekend shenanigans, and mustered up energy to actually build an outfit.
Sneaking in a cheeky summer wearing of this wool-blend thin sweater, and turning that backwards hanger around with my silver leather skirt.

  • Sweater - Diesel, consignment; purchased here NWT for $58.00
  • Linen blazer - H&M, thrifted; last seen here at Rithet's Bog with Mom in August
  • Leather skirt - Cynthia Steffe, vintage 90s, consignment, Seattle; last worn here (3rd outfit) in January under a Finnish tunic
  • Suede boots - Coach, consignment, Vancouver; last seen here (2nd outfit) in May for a leopard cowgirl brunch

I layered a pink camisole under the cobwebby knit as it's very sheer. You can see my tattoos right through it!
It was another weird day that started off very hazy from forest fire smoke (a disconcerting orange sun!), and then hot blue skies and wind.

I intended to wear this linen blazer with the outfit for the office, but I did shuck it a couple of times.
The silver skirt rings all my bells.

So shiny!
Don't you just love good back detail?

Incognito.
I'm happy with all of this.

The stuff:
These boots are far more comfortable than they look - I walked several blocks to join my colleagues for lunch.

  • Mulberry silk scarf - Fluevog
  • Fur brooch - Catawampus Fudge & Funk

Colourful bling:
I usually pack my turquoise away for fall/winter - it just feels like warm weather stuff. I'll probably keep the red/amethyst stuff out.

  • Mixed stone/silver bracelet - Salt Spring Island, gift from L c. 2004?
  • Carved cinnabar bangle - consignment
  • Silver/coral/turquoise necklace - Nepalese, consignment
  • Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall
  • Silver/turquoise ring - consignment
  • Metal rose earrings - Betsey Johnson, swap from Cat

    1. Much appreciated, Lise! Yeah, the turquoise, a lot of the orange, yellow and white "sets" and most of the green are packed away.

  3. That's one stellar outfit, Sheila! I'm loving the combo of silver and pink as well as the bookends provided by your blazer and boots! Agreeing on the summery vibes of turquoise, but I'd still be tempted to keep that stunner of a necklace out all year around! xxx

    2. Thanks so much, Ann! I might keep the necklace out, but we'll see when I have everything laid out on the bed.

  4. My eye went immediately to the turquoise eyeglass frames and your matching jewelry. :-) The skirt may be leather but it screams metallic to me! Liking the pinks of the two tops and the embellishments on your boots.

    1. Sometimes my matchy is more subtle! Yes, metallics are some of my favourites.
Thank you, Laurie, hope you are well.
