Woo, I'm now on vacation! One last busy day...
I arrived at work to find a ceiling tile collapsed in the hallway, but my earlier-arriving colleagues had already alerted the right people. Good work, colleagues!
- Silk top - Grey by Jason Wu, thrifted; last seen here in May with space neutrals
- Cotton skirt - Banana Republic, consignment; last worn here in April 2024 with purple boots and denim
- Shoes - Vogettes Misty, Fluevog; last seen here in June with picnic plaid
I've been eyeing my short skirts, as I prefer to wear them with boots and tights these days. As this one is cotton - even the lining! - it's better with bare legs.
I paired it with my silk Jason Wu top which has amazing details. Did you catch the woven grosgrain ribbon on the front? You can see it in the Stair Pic.
And it's longer in the back. Such a lovely quality garment.
One of my coworkers noticed my back tattoos peeking out. I never shy away from showing my ink.
Incognito. I took the bus home - I like people watching.
These shoes are not very toe-friendly yet - I need to stretch them out with the little socks.
The stuff:
In contrast to yesterday's ballet flats, these are not that comfortable. I need to wear them more and stretch 'em out! Better look out, or I'll wear you in the rain, shoes...Copper bling:
Of course, my otherwise simple outfit was solely to provide a backdrop for my lovely copper pieces. I always enjoy wearing them, and touch the warm metal often.
I'll be posting sporadically while I'm off - no Mom-Day tomorrow - but stay tuned, as there are adventures to be shared soon! Thanks for being here!

Have you even tried putting a peeled potato in the toe of a shoe to stretch it?
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are so great 😻
ReplyDeleteYour copper jewelry!! In other words, I love all the bling for its color, sheen, shapes and tactileness. (new word) :-) Am also a fan of the black top (yes, I did notice the woven grosgrain ribbon at the hem of the top!) and the skirt - firstly for its eye catching color and secondly for the material. Given me cotton any day in summer and I'm in sheer heaven!
ReplyDeleteI am agog at your vacation schedule throughout the year; it seems quite humane! Enjoy your days, HELLO HELEN!, and have a grand weekend+ coming up!
Cheers, Laurie
Pity the shoes are not yet comfortable as they GLOW gorgeously! I love a cotton top, especially one with pretty details like that!
ReplyDeleteI've been avoiding what's left of my mini skirts, thinking I'll wear them with opaques in winter, but I never do ... Yours is lovely, though, even if it's all that fabulous copper which is drawing my attention here. Intrigued about Bushlady's peeled potato tip! xxx P.S. Enjoy your vacation!
