I've never worn this orange Jammy Dress with these boots before, so why not?
My colleague Glenn said I looked like a pumpkin. "You should have a green hat on!" And black eyes, nose and mouth, I added. And I even have a vintage green pillbox hat (pic of me in it here).
Thank you, kind stranger! I like it too!
I was ready for any weather, but missed the rain...and the sun.

Accoutrements:
The stuff:
Such amazing boots. They are really comfortable too.
I've decided to switch over to my other black and white scarf when the spooky season is over.
- Scarf - MetroWear, San Francisco, 2007
- Toque - gift from Tammy
- Brooch - Monet, vintage 80s, thrifted
- Velour gloves - Thinsulate, thrifted
Such amazing boots. They are really comfortable too.
Gold bling:
The cream and black of the boots inspired this cream and black necklace and earring "set". I bought them at the same vintage fair, sold separately. I wonder if the previous owner matched them up?
- Necklace - Monet, vintage 80s, vintage fair
- Earrings - vintage, vintage fair
- Snake cuff - Whiting & Davis, vintage 70s, vintage fair
- Leather/chain wrap - local
- Double snake ring - consignment
- Brass ring - vintage mall
Two snakes!
Simply fabulous jammy dress! I can absolutely imagine the cozy warmth of it. For me it would be the perfect dress to wear on a cold, gray, damp winter’s day - snuggle in it’s warmth and have spirits buoyed by its vibrant color. The boots are quite the accompaniment and I’m wondering if you were able to walk to work in them?
ReplyDeleteI’m guessing today might be a Mom Adventure and will imagine you and Helen out and about! We are stocked up with candy and look forward to seeing the under-10 crowd outfitted in their costumes. The over-10 crowd also tends to dress in costume but no where near as adorable as the little kids. ;)
Cheers, Laurie
Yes, it's excellent for that - I've worn it to many a Winesday or other event where I need the warmth and comfort, Laurie. No, I don't walk to work in these - it's too high of a heel, and I don't want to ruin the leather or suede with water (there are always puddles and wet leaves on my walks).
DeleteYou bet! We're heading out soon (as I write this). No trick or treaters for us, in a condo, plus not many kids in our neighbourhood. Hope you get lots of cool costumes!
Great outfit! I love sweater dresses and that one looked so comfy. The boots are amazing, but then your shoe/boot collection is outstanding!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteWhat a cheeky chap Glenn is, not so much a pumpkin as an Autumnal vision of joy! xxx
ReplyDeleteHe is very cheeky, Vix, you called it. Thank you!
DeleteIgnore Glenn. That's a fabulous outfit. You look so good in orange! x
ReplyDeleteOh, no, it's totally fine - we had a laugh over it. Thank you!
DeleteWhat a magnificent outfit, that dress with those boots. Indeed, why didn't you combine them before. Well, better late than never. You'll wear it again in winter when it is really cold. Being able to look this stylish when it is cold, is no small matter.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
I think I felt it was TOO matchy, but I ended up loving the combination. I will definitely wear it again at some point. Thanks, Greetje!
DeleteFabulous jammy dress and beautiful boots Sheila - I like your stuff too xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Anna!
