Studs and Plaid at the Mall

Hello, my friends! Just popping in with a brief outfit from my foray to the mall today, and to let you know we'll be back on schedule when I go back to work tomorrow.
I tried to dress so that I wouldn't be too conspicuous at the mall.

  • Studded tunic - Spanner, vintage 90s, consignment; purchased here for $44.00
  • Pants - H&M, consignment; last worn here in February for a dentist appointment and shop
  • Sneakers - Findlay, consignment; last seen here in September 2025 for Mom-Day in flocked tulle

Finally getting around to styling up this studded tunic...and it's not going to stay in my regular wardrobe.
It's just too boxy and enveloping - it doesn't feel like me.

However, I still really like it, so I'm going to move it into my "around the house" clothes.
It will be nice with leggings in the summer.

The plaid pants are okay - they are not great quality, but when do you see plaid pants?
Right! If I find an upgrade I may go for it. Or not.

The stuff:
The few folks I talked to (hello to Paige at MAC! and the lovely person at Indigo) really liked my style, so I guess the mall is pretty boring other than me.

  • Purse - Aimee Kestenberg, thrifted, Powell River
  • Gold-tone bracelet - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Carved faux cinnabar bangle - consignment
  • Gold/silver cobra ring - vintage fair
  • Silver/carnelian ring - thrifted
  • Red enamel/silver ring - antique shop, Sidney
  • Necklace - J. Crew, consignment
  • Metal rose earrings - Betsey Johnson, swap from Cat

Some pics of the boys enjoying the deck.
"I'm sleeping, Barnabas."          "Hey, Whateley, hang your arms like this!"

This is Barnabas' side.
"I like this bench."

And Whateley chills on this bench.
"Come sit with me."

You don't have to ask me twice!

  1. This made me smile. Sheila you could not be inconspicuous if you tried, and definitely not in red plaid pants and gold sneakers :). Have a fabulous and stylish week
