Floral Jumpsuit and Gold Bits

I'm just past the halfway point of my closet season, and am diligently working away at wearing the things on the backwards hangers.
Time to wear this dark floral jumpsuit!

  • Jumpsuit - Zara, consignment; last seen here in June 2024 with different gold shoes
  • Cotton tank top - Eileen Fisher, thrifted, not tracked
  • Shoes - Super Fine Cardinal, Fluevog; last worn here in May on Day 3 of my Halston dress challenge

I've had it since 2018 and it's the perfect pattern for playing with.
It goes with yellow (like my tank top worn underneath), gold, orange and green, as well as black and white. I have all of those colours in my wardrobe!

It's one of the easiest jumpsuits to wear to the bathroom, although waiting for Defcon 10 is generally a bad idea with a jumpsuit.
One small button at the top of the back with an elastic loop, and a zip from the waist down. I hang my belts on the hook on the back of the door.

And two big pockets!
There are also big slits on the legs, on the sides, so the bottoms flap about vigourously.

The stuff:
These gold shoes are troopers in my closet - I love a metallic shoe.

Gold bling:
The belt was a pleasure to wear - the weight and quality were evident.

  • Belt - Deborah Marinoff "Charmant", vintage 70s, thrifted; purchased here for $2.00
  • Shark cuff - Tom Binns, 2012, consignment
  • Orange bangle - thrifted
  • Steel/Lucite ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted
  • Brass leopard ring - thrifted
  • Stone ring - thrifted
  • Wooden earrings - vintage expo

I put my previous stretchy belt into my Limbo pile - time to let go of it now that I have a better quality one. Always Be Upgrading!
My dear mother-in-law Louise bought this for me on one of our trips up to Powell River, probably around 8 years ago. I'll make sure it goes to a good home.

  1. I've been reading, oggling your beautiful wardrobe but it's been ages since I've commented. I just have no style, but love yours. These days I'm in shorts and sleeveless shirts, despite my arms needing more work, a do over actually. The lime peeking out the back is fun.

  2. This looks like a super comfortable airy jumpsuit, friendly to gentle breezes and air flow. I’m a definite fan of the piece and appreciate how it probably looks like a jumpsuit or a maxi dress depending on the angle it’s viewed. What, no necklace! I like the one you wore on the previous wearing. I’m going to guess it’s warm to hot out so leaving your neck and chest bare was soothing and cooling. After two days of nonstop air conditioning we are enjoying open windows this morning, welcoming in cooler fresh air before having to resort to the a/c this afternoon. Ah well, it’s summer!
    Cheers, Laurie
